I doubt Hull fans are that stupid to think it will finish 1-0? Apparently that's why they're leaving though..

Nice to see us not settling for a point, and going for a winner, something that CL should be commended on. Complete opposite of MA's tactics last season, that is why I still believe we are progressing.

Hammil on for Connolly. ;)

Come on City, ****ing get a winner!

It's fair enough them saying "oh at half time we would've been happy with a point" but it seems we hear that EVERY game! Come on, we need to actually WIN games!

FT 1 - 1. Need to find our scoring touch. :icon_sad: ;)

1 point.... that's 6 in 6 games.... fantastic!

Full time shame we didnt get a winner, but sounded like a decent performance especially in the second half, and the players demonstrated some decent character to come back from a goal down.

2 weeks now til next game, and it's a shitty way to go into a break.

1 point over a weekend where we've played 2 promoted clubs!

They HAVE to work on both defending and attacking set pieces, because both areas are really letting us down. We must've had over 20 corners in the last few games, and we never score them

Since we cant seem to score. Maybe worth trying a few strikeforce combinations in training. Not exactly a match situation but we dont seem to be any different than last season. De Vries is slight improvement but cant see us reaching play offs unless something is sorted

Close to relegation form. ;)

Meh, I don't buy into that.. If we'd won today it would've been 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses, which is middle table form, and you win the next one and it's 3 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses, and suddenly that's mid-table/playoff form...

But, 2 losses, 3 draws, 1 win...certainly not great start to the season.

Looking on the bright side though, we have a lot of knocks and injuries at the minute, but by the time we next play, hopefully a lot of those will be sorted. Kisnorbo should be fit to play, Hughes should be back from injury as well, hopefully Paddy can shake off his knock too, and we'll have more options.

We do need to change things in training over the next 2 weeks though. Set pieces HAVE to be improved, they are so important. If we tightened up our defence on them, and took advantage when we had them, then we'd be winning games, because we're getting plenty.

Up yours you twat

Did we not score today ? I must have been mistaken.

We scored 1 vs Sheff Utd, 4 vs Stoke, 2 vs Crewe, 3 vs Bury and 1 vs Hull, that is eleven in seven games, so scoring doesnt seem to be the problem, the issue that needs addressing is the loss of concentration that we keep experiencing which is gifting our opponents goals and giving us mountains to climb. By the time we play again on the 10th Sept hopefully we will have virtually a fully fit squad back and available, if so we will have a strong squad to choose from and additional options on the bench and CL will have the ability to freshen up the side. To be fair with Hughes, Kisnorbo, Wesolowski, Morris and Gerrbrand being injured, or short of fitness the side has pretty much picked itself over the opening 6 or 7 games. I would expect the international break to provide CL a chance to regroup, work on some of the weaknesses and get back some of the players to full fitness. I think we will go on a decent run.

A voice of reason - well done!

I am disappointed like the rest of you, but NOT surprised. I expect us to be inconsistent, for our bargain basement signings to take time to gel and eventually be challenging for the play-offs.

Well yes that is true. My point was made more towards the strikers. Only 5 of those goals are from them and 4 of those was in the game against Stoke. All the others are from midfield or defence unless in the game against Bury Hamill was playing as a striker.
Strikers are paid to score goals and, although im sure Connolly will most likely score between 15-20 this season i can't see De Vries contributing many and its not as if he hasnt had a consistant run in the side. I would like to see someone else have at least half a dozen games up front, maybe Dublin , but people seem to think he is not up to the job either but Elvis seems to have something about him that excites the fans.
