like to know who and why some of our fans applauded the players at the end

I applauded Fulop. It was difficult to make a gesture which said "I'm sorry you had to play with that bunch of incompetents". Clemence trotted down in our direction, but my applause was not aimed at him. Is Billy Smart's Circus still going ? Some of our lot could do a neat turn with the slapstick stuff - control the ball after it crosses the line, slice it wildy, cream pies into faces etc.

There was no way I was going to clap that lot.

They didn't DESERVE us lot travelling up there and paying out money only to be repaid by that 'performance'.

Whilst Fulop is probably the only one who over the past few weeks can hold his head up, I wasn't going to applaud even him, just in case the other pillocks thought it was aimed at them.
