is it a fox? said:Levien brought in Hughes on the deadline day in January, no body had that big hopes for him when he signed. He's one of the best in the league. Let's just hope Hume turns out to be the same. Levein has been watching him for a while now and abviously rates him. Lets all get behind him on his debut against Sheff Wed and hopefully he can start banging them in.

pds said:I have to admit i am delighted and excited by the signing of Hume.
I have watched him play a number of times on Sky and always thought what a good player he was.
I have just been watching some of his goals on World and despite what people say he looks a very good finsher both inside and outside of the box.
Also i am not too disappointed about Connollly, ok he did well against Stoke but most of last season and this i haven't even noticed him, take the match against Luton for example I cannot remember him having one touch of the ball during the match.
Keep your chin up everyone we may not get promoted , but who seriously thought we were going too this season? I reckon any sort of improvement on last season will be a good start to build on.

Steven said:The difference being for Hughes it was a step down or sideways, but for Hume it is a step up. His good for an attacking midfielder, but is no striker.
is it a fox? said:True but David Nuggent has done it for Preston after coming up from league 2. He scored 20 goals in 96 apperances for Bury. Hume got 15 odd last season in league 1 and as a 21 year old (i assume he was 20 for most of last year) i think that shows great potential. Even better if people think he's not a out and out striker! I think we've got a good player.
Graz said:He turns 22 in October.
And it's all well and good having potential, but we need a team NOW that can at least stay in this division!
