Re: Hulme

I've a feeling that is the close of play for today, and for that matter until Christmas.

Which funnily enough is the same thing Mrs Highland said to me last night...

Re: Hulme

Levien brought in Hughes on the deadline day in January, no body had that big hopes for him when he signed. He's one of the best in the league. Let's just hope Hume turns out to be the same. Levein has been watching him for a while now and abviously rates him. Lets all get behind him on his debut against Sheff Wed and hopefully he can start banging them in.

The difference being for Hughes it was a step down or sideways, but for Hume it is a step up. His good for an attacking midfielder, but is no striker.

Re: Hulme

According to the OS, Hume was "one of the most sought after players outside the Championship". This is our lot, good or bad, we're stuck with it now until January, so let's hope and pray he comes good.

Personally though, I feel extremely dejected now at the end of the transfer window :( Roll on January!

I have to admit i am delighted and excited by the signing of Hume.
I have watched him play a number of times on Sky and always thought what a good player he was.
I have just been watching some of his goals on World and despite what people say he looks a very good finsher both inside and outside of the box.
Also i am not too disappointed about Connollly, ok he did well against Stoke but most of last season and this i haven't even noticed him, take the match against Luton for example I cannot remember him having one touch of the ball during the match.
Keep your chin up everyone we may not get promoted , but who seriously thought we were going too this season? I reckon any sort of improvement on last season will be a good start to build on.

Everyone looks good wehn you watch their goals, it their misses that give you a rounded view - I hope he is excellent, still feel we need another forward though.

here here

His best goal tally is 15 in League 1! I just don't think he's gonna be great for us. Probably score more than the rest of our strikers, but I just think we could've done better, or could've at least got another striker to play with him.

True but David Nuggent has done it for Preston after coming up from league 2. He scored 20 goals in 96 apperances for Bury. Hume got 15 odd last season in league 1 and as a 21 year old (i assume he was 20 for most of last year) i think that shows great potential. Even better if people think he's not a out and out striker! I think we've got a good player.

He turns 22 in October.

And it's all well and good having potential, but we need a team NOW that can at least stay in this division!

So ..if the loss of one player means we are going down then what hope for the rest of the team.I didn't realise we were a 1 man team.It is 1 player.

Best point made so far.

i cant beleive anybody is considering religation ,leicester fans are always the same no faith, we have a much younger squad with alot of potential for the future, a team thats to be fair still gettin to know eachother that have barely played competative football as a unit, we have some money left over to use in january if we need another striker, but when u think of hulme, hughes, johansson we have good players here, it may take 10 games but we will be a force very soon, atleast under CL are showing that we are trying to build a squad for the future instead of quick fix it bags of shite like keown and fruend

But to be fair we haven't exactly been doing very well with Connolly in the side either!
