Unfortunately there is a massive potential downside to the Sven appointment.

Of course he is in a different class in terms of level of experience and sophistication to what we normally get....but and the big but is that he has a history of keeping a close eye on other career opportunities and I don't expect this to change now.

Whilst he's with us he will do a good job, but there will also be speculation as to what he may do next. I don't expect him to be at Leicester for very long so i suggest we enjoy it whilst he's here and don't get too carried away that its likely to last too long.

I think this would be fair comment if Sven were ten years younger. You are right he is a chancer but I wonder at his age whether or not he would prefer to stay in one place. Moreover he seems to have a strong desire to be in the PL and a well funded City is as attractive as anything else in the PL bar the top 6 or so.

Finally he has stated he is willing to sign a longer contract and I am always happy to believe him until he gives me good reason to do otherwise. :)

It's in the nature of the man to move on when the opportunity arises. I can't see him ending his career in the East Midlands.

He's a class manager and I think we can benefit from his stay here.

The noise about signing contracts means next to nothing in football. Operators in his position usually insist on appropriate 'get-out' clauses and its next to impossible and usually not a good idea anyway to try to hold on players/ managers who want out.

Sorry to be realistic about this - I genuinely hope that he sees out at least this seaswon and hopefully next.

You mean if an offer of a better job came along, he'd take it? Well I for one don't want to live in a world where people just go around doing what's best for themselves. It's as if people want to be challenged professionally and be appropriately remunerated for it. Unfathomable, it really is.

Personally, I would prefer to live in a world where anyone employed at any point by LCFC is committed to the club for life and swears allegiance to a pledge to be jointly drafted by the the Foxes Trust and the Fosse Boys.

How about 'no' :icon_lol:
Good job I'm not inviting you round then!

When I discover what it is I'll let you know.
It's a bit like lime flavoured cheesecake, but has no cheese in it.

I pointed out my ignorance of it the last time it was mentioned.
If I remember rightly, it's some kind of cake that doesn't have any lime or keys in it
It doesn't have keys, but it definitely has lime in it.

Doesn't sound much like a pie either.
I would call it lime psuedo-cheesecake, but it's an American dessert and they call it a pie.

It's even more akin to Lemon Meringue Pie IMHO; sometimes it's covered with Meringue, though not always. It's Key Lime Pie because it's made with Key Limes, grown in the Florida Keys and not the same as the more usual limes. The base is normally made with crumbled digestives, like a cheesecake, and not with pastry.

I've never seen it with a meringue topping. Cream, yes, but not meringue.

I don't use Key Limes, as I've never seen them sold here in the UK. They're apparently smaller but have more flavour :102:

The lemon bit of a lemon meringue is a curd; egg yolks, sugar and lemon juice mixed and heated on the hob, adding cornflour mixed with water to thicken if necessary. With Key Lime Pie, it's condensed milk, whole egg and lime juice. There's no need to pre-cook/thicken before baking.

What I do differently is that I spice mine up by adding some ginger to the digestive base (excuse the pun); lime and ginger is a great combination.

Sorry Boc, I love cooking :icon_wink

Where did he move on when an opportunity arose? In recent years he was dismissed from Man City, many would say very unfairly. He then went to Mexico and was sacked. Granted he left Notts County but it is generally accepted by most that that was due to assurances not being kept and that there was no realistic chance of Notts County ever being able to achieve the aims they had outlined to Sven. After this he went to Ivory Coast and he was only contracted until the end of the World Cup.
