If I were Milan Madaric...

I would decide as to whether I wanted Rk as manager. If I did I would let him make the decisions on the playing front.

If I decided i wanted another manager I would get them in soon and let them make the decisions on the playing front.

Just a thought. I probably wouldn't be signing Joey Gudjonnson over the managers head...it tends to unsettle things

Also if I were a player for this club and I knew there was a forum where people wrote about me I would most certainly read it and keep tabs on what people thought...

Hope Matty Fryatt hasn't got a PC at the moment :icon_eek:

Ithink MM will get an ex Pompey man involved either on the playing or Management side... Sheringham/Merson spring to mind.

I think many of us are expecting radical changes to happen straight away but I think this is unrealistic. It will take time, perhaps a couple of seasons to bring the right players in and create a strong, consistent team. This means we probably wont be getting rid of all the rubbish too soon, unfortunatly.

your dead right OG we need a player that can lead the team in midfeild imo not5 saying do a micky adams and bring a oap in but someone that has the footballing skill to run things from midfeild then we might start to see the wing men we have work alot better which should feed the two lads up front

Think you are right - someone who can boss things in midfield would be the key. Another Gary Parker. And with someone like that not only would the team be more balanced but it is quite possible that some of the existing players will show an improvement in their performances - there are several underachievers at the moment and too many youngsters having to try to shoulder too much responsibility.

I doubt you would see wholesale changes immediately (unless he brings in Barry Fry!!!). I would expect to see perhaps 3 or 4 players arrive, less depart - the squad is too small as it is - with further changes in the summer depending on where the team ends up.

Teams are built by progressive improvement - shipping in virtually a whole new team mid - season who have never played together is hardly a recipe for progress.

Spot on OG.

We desperately need to improve the midfield, we need some creativity and someone who regularly runs into the opponents box. I would also like to see a big man up front who can hold the ball up a bit and then have Hume or Fryatt playing off him. A bit more balance to the team would make the other players look better.

Shipperley and some other harden pro in the centre like McKenna for Preston being missing oneof those since McKinley left.

Agreed, I've said before that Shipperly would be a good signing for this division.

I said Shipperly as a foil for Connolly when we bought DC, but was shot down. I think at that stage people were expecting us to sign Ronaldo or something.

I think Shipperly would be a great signing in a predicament when we're not planning for the future - I don't think signing journey-men at this time is what we need to look at doing anymore. Sharp, Keogh at Scunny, Chaplow at WBA etc, this is where we need to look, young proven good players.

Lets just say after reading this thread I wouldn't feel all to motivated to give my best.

They have already lost their motivation. :102: :102:

Perhaps because they've been reading the forum for a while now?

One would hope that professional sportsmen on wages most of us only dream of would have more about them than to take to heart what we all say/think?

Or indeed at least have the self pride to react to it in a positive manner

Indeed, I would be amazed if any of them bothered to even look to be fair, and if they did and it affected their playing then really they're not fit to wear the shirt.

In other words, they're so far up their own arses that they wouldn't give a fig for a single word of our thoughts.
