In other words, they're so far up their own arses that they wouldn't give a fig for a single word of our thoughts.

Well, I don't think they're inhumane, however if a player was going through a bad spell (Fryatt, Hughes, Stearman) and came on here and saw we were having a go and then reacted by playing worse, then that would be unacceptable.

I think Shipperly would be a great signing in a predicament when we're not planning for the future - I don't think signing journey-men at this time is what we need to look at doing anymore. Sharp, Keogh at Scunny, Chaplow at WBA etc, this is where we need to look, young proven good players.

Yes but they need some guidance and teaching. We dont want a last payday player in spirit of Keown and Dublin. You wanted a decidated harden pro who can teach Fryatt and O'Grady how to play, plus he's a targetman.

Perhaps, however I'm not so sure Shipperly can do that job!!!

Yeh but he'll still give his all for us.

If I was MM I would sign Radoslaw Matusiak from Polish club Betachow, top of the league despite them being the one of the smallest teams in the Polish top flight, scored for Poland on his full debut on Wednesday and a guarteened ticket seller for the streets of Narborough Road.

But thats in my ideal world

The major problem to be solved is supply. With nothing coming from midfield most of the time except hopeful balls, mishits etc strikers get frustrated, dragged out of position etc. Compare recent performances by Rooney for England and Manure, for example

The priority therefore is someone to dominate in midfield and ensure decent supply.

Well said. Takes a good oldun to spot the problem. This problem midfield has been there for a while. Although Joey played well in the latter part of last season, I don't think he's the answer. We need a ball winner who distribute short accurate passes(aka Lennon) and a skillful midfielder who can create and carry the ball towards the opposing defence. A big striker would also be beneficial when we need to change the game up front, not sure I would like one up there from the start as we always seem to become hoofing team when we play one.

I fully agree but I feel a targetman is equal priority to that of a harden midfielder.

nice use of the subjunctive btw

the grammar police approve!

Fryatt, not fit
Hughes, no good
Stearman, out of position (see Kisnorbo).

Any player whose performance is affected by what he reads on a fans' forum is not going to last very long as a professional footballer ffs!!

I only suggested a big striker because we are hoofing it anyway.

I'd get rid off:

Why not have a January clear-out? Get rid of some players we don't need and ofcourse the wasters in our squad:

Rabs
Hughes
AJ
Sylla (altho lately he is playing quite well)
Low
Welsh (send him back)
Elvis
O'Grady

Bring in:

New Staff- Coaches, Physios etc
LB
CM
CM
RW
RW
LW
LW
FC

Because a January clearout would be too expensive and probably see us getting relegated/narrowly avoiding relegation?

We dont want another dwarf forward do we?......:icon_wink

Most likely signing yet, I reckon, given MMs past history.

i'd buy an entire new first 16 and manager and pretend this squad never existed
