If I am honest, maybe you are right Glyn. I am not too proud to say that it looks like I may have been wrong about Hargreaves, but then again as I have pointed out in another thread, he was just the brightest bulb in a faulty batch.

Without wishing to stray off topic, Hargreaves didn't deserve any praise coming into the World Cup, deserves praise for his performances in the World Cup, but doesn't deserve to be hailed as the new Vieira. So I think you are right to temper the current enthusiasm a little. I suspect his career will follow a Nicky Butt path ("best player in the 2002 WC" - Pele) and he will soon be forgotten.

MDV - can do a job
Elvis - finishing is a natural talent, and one he just hasn't got. He shoudl either reinvent himself as a right-winger or score a few goals in League 2 or the Conference, I'm afraid.
Sylla - can't be arsed so get rid.

Ok....the point I was making (clumsily) is that both Sylla and Elvis could play (badly) in several positions, whereas, MDV is solely an (ordinary) striker.
