Amongst you cool gadget-experts, does anyone know if the iPod 30GB has a shuffle/random facility, or is this only available in the Nano 4GB. And if not, can it be done via a playlist on the 30GB?

Are there any other big-Gig quality MP3 players that offer a random play?

Thank-you!

Yes, that was my opinion, until the unwashed youth in some unnamed retail outlet assured me that the biggest iPod that offered random facility was the 4Gb Nano.....

And I would prefer the 30GB size as (like you, I believe from previous posts in this thread) I have a considerable amount of music I would like to carry around, and play with a random capabilty. Oh, the trials of modern technology

I think you should name the retail outlet. The 20Gb and 40Gb offerings from Creative certainly have a random play feature.

I had a 20GB ipod with shuffle and my mates 40GB has shuffle they would be silly not to.

look on the apple website for specs

I have another question regarding I-Pods. Please help :026:

I am going to buy my girlfriend one for her birthday but she doesn't have a computer.
Could I use my computer to store her library and use I-tunes considering I already have my own.
I really don't want to put her music in my library as it is shit.
So what I am saying is, is it possible two have two different I-pods using the same computer with seperate folders?

Yes, If you set up a different username in XP then load up itunes, it acts as a new piece of software

It was John Lewis's in Oxford St. Their attitude was rather surprising, I have to say.

Apologies for not responding sooner, but I am unable to use TB at work, and I am tucked up in bed before 11pm, usually!
