if we did get newell and we played well under him but happened to go down, would you want him sacked? just wondered what your opinions were.

He knows how to get out of league 1 that is for sure. I think also it would be ridiculous to sack someone who you haven't appointed yet, and even if they accepted the job it would be crazy to sack them after 14 or so remaining games in the season.:icon_eek:

i have no problem with kelly till the end of the season and then lennon and a helper next season. plus the players have said they would like kelly to stay so i see no reason why the newell rumour could be wrong.

just dont get your hopes up, tis'all fellers

Why do you want Lennon as a manager? He has done nothing in management yet. For every Pearce there is an Adams and a Gascgoine.

Why would Newell leave Luton who are 5 points off the playoffs to join us who are 0 points away from the drop zone? There's a whole lot of speculation flying around at the minute.

i agree that newell will not come here, i never said he would, however having installed a supposed good manager in CL, and whitnessing the results of this appointment i see absolutley no problem with installing lennon and maybe robertson. your right that for every pearce theres an adams, but for every mourinhio (spelling) theres a micky adams, Craig levein, basset, peter taylor ect im sure your getting my drift. what established manager apart from O'neil has done a really good job in the recent history of leicester city football club? :102:

established at another club means sod all at leicester, this club is very unique and the strangest things happen, nobody is guarenteed to succeed here through reputation alone.

Managers look at more than current league positions. We have a far bigger and better stadium, a far bigger fan base, more money and much more potential long term. Newell, Cotterill and Davies would all walk here for the job.

i really don't think so. I think all are holding out to get an even bigger club with a bigger fan base-sunderland.

I agree but they'll be more interested in the likes of Charlton, Bolton and Wigan if those jobs become available as a result of the Newcast;e situation...

I'm sorry I don't agree with RN Fox, it's well known at the club that if R Kelly get's another good result this weekend, he's got the job...............at least until the end of the season. I have a good contact that say's Mike Newall sorry Newell WILL NOT COME HERE. Forget Cotterell and McAllister etc if we win this weekend its a done deal. Maybe Lennon at the end of the season.

This might upset Baby lon and a few others because i've posted it but it is true........................Rob Kelly's Blue & White Army.

Hey Foxy, you know I don't post on here unless I have good info.
Look at my record pretty accurate I would say. Make no mistake, behind the scenes the way is paved for MN to come in next week. Everyone is playing cagey buggers at the moment which is what you would expect.

I agree with Duzza and Hazz, although we may not see our beloved club as a big draw to other managers, it is, a fantastic new stadium, premiership facilities, big fan base and the potential to be a premiership club, any manager who harbours serious ambitions of being a top manager will look at Leicester and believe the potential is there to replicate the achievements of MON and enhance their very own growing reputation

All 3 of the managers named in Duzza's post and no doubt a few more would relish the opportunity of managing Leicester.

If its someone already under contract its going to be cagey until the last minute. Chairman will insist their manager isnt going anywhere to hold the moral high ground with their fans and to try and increase the compo value when it comes to negotiation. I hate this bit, its so frustrating and so beyond my control!
