Mandaric is hardly going to be vocal through the media of his intentions to replace the manager of a football club he is yet to own. Also as it's current custodian it wouldnt be the greatest decision to publicly inform Kelly that in 2/3 weeks he will be on the dole.

It is highly likely that Kelly will be replaced, lets be honest we are floundering in 18th position, playing some of the most defensive and unentertaining football imaginable, hardly the sort of reference to get the new owner's seal of approval, especially when he is looking to unlock the potential of the club and reawaken the passion.

IMO he wants to come in takeover the club and immediately stamp his authority on the place and give the club a good old kick up it's arse, and what better way than by bringing in a manager who is going to excite the fans and win the respect of the players.

The Redknapp thing is quite an outrageous shout and most probably just dreamt up by the NOTW. If it was to be true mayb Redders junior in conjunction with a more experienced man could be promising!

Either way something has to happen. we are slipping down the league again and it's just not good enough. We were abysmal on Saturday. Some of the players are just not up to it. People like Welsh and Maybury don't deserve to wear the shirt

Just thought I'd throw Nigel Worthington into the equation and stand well back.

I'll throw colin calderwoods hat in! that would be funny!!

I'd like to throw Graham Taylors hat in the ring too.

But I want to make it clear that I like not that!

I see all the old suspects from the last few years are being reeled out again.

Jamie Redknapp is a horrible thought.

Personally, I'd have a shortlist of two:

Curbishley
Dowie

Both would be excellent. If the first doesn't want it, the second one certainly would. Can't understand the negatives about Dowie - he worked miracles at Oldham and Palace.

MM does have a liking for Alex McLeish though (wanted him for Pompey whilst he was at Rangers). In my opinion, thats another horrible thought.

MM also has a reputation for making bizarre managerial appointments. But Jamie Redknapp? Surely not.

why is McLeish a horrible thought-he won two league titles and and five cups at rangers

yes but why is McLeish such a horrible thought, racism apart?

And a lot of Rangers fans would take McCleish back rather than the guy they have now.The only reason a few won't want McCleish is because he's Scottish

what makes people think even with mandaric here we can do better then someone like mcleish-hes better then the quality of manager would could attract in our current plight

I was at McLeish's last match as Rangers manager, and most of their fans were happy to see him go. Maybe they've changed their minds now though, the grass isn't always greener.

Theres a few in our village and they would much rather have himthan Le Guen who they think is clueless. With McCleish they won a couple of titles and a few Old Firm matches..not any more though.

Considering that Scotland is a virtual two horse race between the haves and have-nots, the achievements of Levein at Hearts were as good, if not better, comparatively, than those of McLeish at Rangers.

There are also numerous managers from Scotland who've come to English clubs and failed miserably or taken years to get anywhere. Even Ferguson took over five years to get Utd success.

To even consider someone who doesn't understand what this league and getting out of it is all about, is a huge gamble and one that we can't afford to make. Therefore, McLeish and Redknapp are totally unsuitable.
