the fans would most likely greet it with apathy and the players would probably want to concentrate on getting out of the league (I hope)

I certainly hope so. I can't imagine too many fans are daft enough not to understand that this is a totally unnecessary kick around organised just to drum up a few pence.

Obviously its marketing ploy is the venue for a final but I can't see any other merit in it. As Bob Hazell pointed out, that competition of a few years ago which only he can remember the name of, generated a huge turn out from us for the Notts County away tie (in pouring rain as I recall) but i think times and the mood/ tolerance have changed since then

if its a city v leeds final i think you will find all the part times supports will fill the place ,i know for one i will go if we get their but then again i am P1 FOR TICKETS :icon_wink

i am P1, and I'll go to any league/cup game possible but not a chance with this comepetition. if people did turn up at a final in this competition it would be either for a fight or to visit wembley for the first/second whatever time
