Do I remember correctly that Rob(ert) Kelly is on a one year rolling contract? If so, when does his first contract actually come to an end?
It's rolling.. it never ends! :icon_roll

But even Tim Nice But Dim will have had a non-renewal option put in. :icon_roll
A marvellous idea - don't you think?
"One year rolling" means he always has a year left on his contract till it's terminated
Whoever thort of that is a genius, nice to see the club is run by people who are making good decisions and know what they are doing :icon_roll
At the end of each annual contract period there's nothing to allow LCFC not to renew it? And should he get the old heave ho LCFC would still have to pay him for a year?
There is NO END.. his 1 year contract effectively renews every second of every minute of every day! :icon_eek:

you're welcomeAh I see - thanks for the clarification.
It's the best thing for all concerned - far better than giving him a three year contract at the outset, and there's no way he would have accepted a contract, with, say, a three month notice period.
But at any time the club could tell the manager they're going to stop the contract from rolling - which means it would become a 'normal' one year contract.
Yeah but that would be like offering him a new contract, wouldn't it?
Maybe its me being thick, but whats the difference if we have to pay compensation anyway, why not just give him a 2 year contract instead of him always having one left to run? At least at the end of the two years, if he'd have got that far, he could have been booted out for nowt. Or am I completely getting it wrong

But he wouldn't have to accept that - the effect in that case would therefore be that the club would be giving him one year's notice.
