That would surprise me too. Almost as much as seeing someone paying with a cheque.

Some commercial landlords insist on it, even for large amounts of money. I can't possibly think why they'd want to.....

The Sun reporting he has signed a 40k a week, 4 year deal. The highest paid player in City history.

I'd be very happy if that was true - I think he'll be a real asset next year (although doubt he'll be here the season after either way).

I'm not sure about anyone else but I didn't think he was going, I thought he was gone. I hadn't got a hope that he would stay here. I was simply praying that Nige, Steve Walsh and the staff had done their homework on another top keeper. I felt sure he would move on at this point being 27, out of contract and with big clubs sniffing it just seemed to add up and I can't quite believe that he's signing a new deal.

I am of course absolutely delighted, he's a fantastic keeper and leader and will be a key player for us.

I think that above all else this proves Kasper's ambition to play games rather than be a bench warmer.

This guarantees all parties a large pay day in a year or two when Kasper has proved himself a top keeper in he best league in the world.

Great and unselfish decision Kasper, well done.

Strange how we all see things differently. I never had any doubt he would still be here. All his comments to the press and during interviews never indicated otherwise as I interpreted them.

I'm with you all the way: great that he is staying!!!!
