So you dont think that Bruno N'Gotty and Carl Cort are any better than Josh Low and Andy Welsh and Elvis Hammond?
what im saying is that those players you mention were not wanted at the clubs we got them from apart from josh low who came for a nominal fee i think, carl cort and bruno fit into that catagory there unwanted or not figuring in the managers first team plans and they have done nothing over the last season which makes me believe they will make anymore of an impact at the club than hammond welsh or low, just because there still big names doesnt mean there still big players.

Imagine.........Low and Welsh surging down the wings, dribbling past defenders who are sat on their backsides having been turned inside out and putting exquisite crosses over for our powerhouse striker, Elvis "the thunderbolt finisher" Hammond, eh eh just imagine.

swop the names for cort and n,gotty and does it sound any better? :icon_roll

but your main point was that we could have got them irrespective of MM

I see your point mate... it would be nice to pay a few quid for a player or get someone really exciting in....

Undoubtedly, Milan taking over has resulted in higher expectations.

Without him, I suspect that the club was going down the tube and had we survived in the division then we would have been looking at an even harder struggle next season.

However, the signings to-date have hardly been inspiring - e.g. Carl Cort isn't likely to be fit for very long and N'Gotty is in the ancient rather than veteran category.

But those with any sense knew how Milan operates and did not expect much different. I'm just grateful that he is clearing out so much dross.....but not yet convinced that the replacements will be spectacularly better.

yeah and i believe we could, these players were looking for a club, we havnt bought them or tempted them away from any club they were looking to leave anyway, and with the way they have either performed over the last season or the fact there coming to the end of there careers leicester city or similar is about as good as it gets for them.

agreed im glad also that the crap is being got rid of, and im also very uninspired by what has come into the club in fact so far it just seems that we are replacing like with like and that doesnt fill me with any kind of confidence for next season, neither does MA,s little spot on the o.s, i hope im proved wrong and i hope we see someone brought to the club which actually shows us milan is putting his money were his mouth is but untill then im very much uninspired by what ive seen.
