Darren Ferguson described him as a "really great coach" for whatever that's worth.

Rooooooooster wasn't a footballing genius, but he was a star for us. I'll always fondly remember his all action style, and his important goals.

I was watching the video from 90-91 season yesterday and 'Rooster' pops up with some vital goals, particularly a late winner in a 4-3 win against Middlesborough. The commentator seems to think that was his debut, but I seem to remember us signing him the season before.

we signed him in 1989. he made his debut away to Hull in the first match of the 89/90 season

As I said above, he barely played for most of the 89/90 and 90/91 season and came back from a loan spell I think after Christmas in 91 and played a crucial part in staying up under Gordon Lee.
