The only time that meant something was when we were relegated against Manure and the whole ground stood up at Filbert Street! Even the manure fans clapped us. Since then its used way to often!

H Block is clearly the best block, we start the wave, we abuse the linesman and it contains the best looking blokes (me, Durham ETC) :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

dont usually look at the blokes. We have some rough looking women in J though

I love hearing "Stand up if you love Leicester" when I'm at somewhere like Bolton on a Wednesday night, it's f'ing hilarious. Who are the people there who don't love Leicester then?!

I sit in the South Stand and I can't hear the self-styled noisy folk in L1, but there's occasionally good atmosphere where I am which I'm sure they can't hear. Noise not travelling perhaps? The away fans rarely sound very loud either. And I'm not deaf!

polar bear.. i go to every game in the walkers about half of them going in L1 and half in the kop depending on who my company is. in the kop every week there is singing such as ohh when the blues ohh when the blues and craaig leveins blue n white army etc. when your in the kop it seems quite a decent volume at times and every time i am in the kop the atmosphere is ok in patches throughout the game. yet when im in L1 you cannot hear a single thing from the kop at all. and visa versa when im in the kop you cant hear anything from L1 but everytime i have been in L1 the atmosphere up the top has been decent.

so the away fans can hear L1 but they cant hear the kop at all exept "stand up if you hate wisey" so they think our ground is lifeless when we have more passionate supporters than most.

this is why i am all for swapping the family stand and the kop over. who agrees?

I'd like to sit in any stand where they are prepared to prohibit the offensive and irritating "Dion! Dion!" chant. Failing that I'd be happy to swap to the North Family End, five minutes extra drinking time before and after!

Does one have to be better than the other? Can't they just both be different from each other?

I am sure that there are people who prefer the Kop - and I am sure that there are others who prefer L1. There might even be people who like a bit of both.

But what I am certain of is that there are a lot of people in the Kop who wouldn't want to swap ends under any circumstance - they will resist it. If L1 is so keen to have the Kop next to them, they are quite welcome to swap to their opposite corner.

Vive la difference!

I'm not sure what it is that you are querying. I keep hearing that L1 wants the Kop beside it - they could do that by moving to the diagonally opposite corner of the ground, between the West Stand and the Kop.

The fact is that most in the Kop don't really want to be any nearer the away fans and will therefore be against swapping ends.

The SAG and the Police have got the away fans where they want them. Easy access to the coaches, nearest to the station and a large open space outside where they can corral them and prepare the escort to the station etc. Also chosen because it is the part of the ground where the sun is most likely to shine in people's eyes - home fans should not have to endure that!

I really can't see them being moved to next to the Kop.

If you love Leicester you pay the East stand ticket prices to give the club a little more revenue, you know it goes to a good cause....

yep, dion's pocket.

i sat in the east stand block J (i think) for two years, and i would rather forget that experience. the kop is never going to be very loud as the reduced ticket price for crewe and the lack of interest shown, our support is shite. i did think it was all about how much the club are charging that kept fans away but obviously that was a poor excuse.

the kop isnt very loud but the fans there are much easier to sit near than where i used to sit, in an emotional game i can rest assured that everyone else around me has feeling for the club

fair piont ,just think the crowd would be more involved with banter and the atmosphere would be better which would HOPEFULLY rub off on the players

I have often seen it written (by L1ers) that there would be more atmosphere if the people in L1 and the people in the Kop sat next to each other. I am simply pointing out that there is more than one way of skinning a cat.

"I am simply pointing out that there is more than one way of skinning a cat."

I'm all for new forms of half-time entertainment but would the SAG allow this?

I think you are confusing it with stabbing the cat.

well at the moment we have half our vocal fans in one section of the ground and half in another so if they were together then the vocals would be louder.

from your original post which suggested the L1ers might want to move to the opposite corner in the west stand it sounded/read like you were suggesting the L1ers go over to the west stand so they were near the kop.

sat next to eachother??confusing termmdo you mean together as in the same stand

I am sure that the L1 fans don't want to move at all, but I agree with you that there might be more atmosphere if all our more vocal fans were together (although equally the acoustics of the stadium might mean that this would lead to even less atmosphere in the ground as a whole).

L1 fans have long advocated the moving of the Kop fans to the north end of the stadium. I don't actually think many of the Kop fans want to move there and was merely pointing out that there was another way of bringing all the vociferous City fans together.

L1 fans are the fans creating the best atmosphere with old traditional songs still sung.

the kop singers should move to L1 to try to create something like sk1 or the kop should be moved to the other end but seeing as about 80% of the people in the kop dont give a shit about the atmospher then i doubt they will care and probably want to stay where they are so they dont hear the nasty away fans swearing
