We spent half of it - £30m on Fofana, £30m on Tielemans and £6m on Justin - that's all good business and doesn't weaken us from that team at Watford at all.

Our net spend over the three years is probably -£80m. So it's actually over £200m we've spent and most of that total has been wasted or spent on players that haven't proved themselves yet.

The only addition I give Congerton credit for is Justin as he was on his infamous list for Celtic. Therefore, we can assume that he was a major influence on him coming here. I think his record aside from that is no better than anybody could do in his position. My Mum would have a similar hit rate.

BR said today that 9 of the 11 that started at Forest were here when he arrived. It's basically the same point I was making in this thread. He was using it as a reason for our poor form and why we need to make major changes in the summer. I'd suggest that it's much more to do with us being unable to sign players of sufficient quality to improve the team. That's on him and his pal Congerton.

When Congerton came in I said it was a terrible decision by Rudkin. Despite our outstanding recruitment set up, he's still managed to spend a fortune making us no better.
