Dear Mr Hoos

Please please please can you stop doing stories in the local rag which are clearly bullshit, as us fans simply don't believe you.

You say our training ground isn't up to date, yet every play who signs compliments the facilities. You say you're happy that for our promotion push we have brought in a 35 year old winger, a frenchie on a free, a left back who is an insult to football and the son of bernard cribbins who couldn't even get past two ex leicester players in a relegation threatened Ipswich team. We are not idiots so please either stop releasing these shite stories or release some without any spin.

Yours Faithfully

"If I was a fan I don't think I would be too disgruntled..............."

There you have it

Now stop feckin' moaning and pay up for next year's season ticket

Just out of interest, how would you feel if we spent £3/4mill on a couple of players but still failed to get promotion, and then next year were left with a higher wage bill than we had banked on and either had to sell our best players or face admin?

I only ask because all this whinging about players is precisely the reason why Palace borrowed against future premiership revenue to get players and pay wages, and then when it still didn't materialise left then where they are.

Do you actually believe that Palace splashed the cash because the supporters complained about the standard of players and this is reason they went down the shitter ? Mr Oringina withdrew his cash as he couldnt afford to prop it up any more.

Maybe not directly from the complaints but they spent it trying to reach the premier league yes. Irrespective of the reason spending money you don't have or haven't budgeted for on the hope of future repayment is a very big risk, and one I would rather we didn't take.

If we were sat at the bottom of the table then I would have hoped for more loans to come in to try to help us, but sat where we are I believe we have enough to maintain our form, although as at the start of the season I would still be happy with a top 10 finish.

You've missed the point of my post. I'm not moaning because the club is only pursuing players which they can afford at the moment, I'm not calling for us to throw all financial caution to the wind. What I'm moaning about is the way its presented to the fans-that we don't need to spend money because we can get such quality players on the cheap. I'd rather they just admitted we haven't got a pot to piss, rather then the spin we get.

I thought that Palace's difficulties had arisen because their owner can no longer find the cash and I share the view that he is unlikely to have been influenced by the views of supporters either in the past or now.

I suppose that there could be a potential parallel scenario at the Walkers.....at some future point?

That said, I agree that is is right for clubs to spend within their means. Especially where their finances are dependant on just one or very few individuals.

I just wonder where LCFC would be if MM met with some mishap.

I think I got my basic information from here http://www.talkingballs.co.uk/showpost.php?p=893068&postcount=31 so not an official source I admit. Though I think I also read it elsewhere, maybe on the BBC.

To be fair to Mr. Hoos and Mr. Pearson, this is entirely ones opinion.

To be fair

Solano is a 35 year old winger.

Yann is french and he came on a free

And Alex Bruce couldn't get in ahead of McAuley and Delaney and Ipswich are threatened by relegation

Only McGivern is an opinion . The rest of that is fact.

I have it on good authority that Bernard Cribbins never met Alex Bruce's mum.

Yes and what's wrong?

Alex Bruce is good back-up for our centre-backs.

Yann Kermogant is good back-up for our strikers.

Nobby Solano has bundles of Premier League experience, and can still produce quality towards the end of games when the opposition may be tiring.

Glass half full.

Glass half empty.

What shall it be sir?

Thanks for accepting I was right in the first instance, and now changing the context of your criticism.

first, Alex Bruce probably is decent back up, so I've not got a lot to dispute with you there. I suspect he's still been signed though on the cheap as we can't really afford anyone else.

As much as I ****ing love Yann (ask Hazz), he hasn't scored a goal yet, and whenever he has played he's played off the front man so he's not really been playing as a striker.

And are you really basing your opinon on Solano appearing for 6 minutes against Newcastle where he made a couple of passes? I dunno if he will be any good, but hes still a 35 year old winger past his prime and with little pace.

half empty.

I believe it is fair to complain about the performances of McGivern and Kermit. More could have been expected of McGivern coming from a Premiership side. Kermit is a surprise signing. he was on trial long enough for it to be clear that he is not good enough for the Championship let alone the Prem at some time in the future.

However, it seems premature to complain about Solarno. The same complaint coujld have been made when MON signed Tony Cottee. Solarno should be given a few games before we judge whether he is a Cottee or merely a Nathan Blake.

The criticism of Alex Bruce is very harsh. He has not kicked a ball for us yet and still people are moaning about him.

Lets give Solarno and Bruce a chance before we stop supporting them.
