That could be. The ref was a long way away when Paddy was berating the assistant; he would not have been able to hear what was being said and did not ask the assistant what had been said - therefore he showed a yellow card, not having the evidence for a red. But when Paddy had a go at the ref, he would definitely have heard what was said and if it was offensive, abusive or insulting a red card would have been the correct decision.

If you are correct, Paddy is facing a three-game ban.

McCarthy needs to learn to keep his mouth shut,he was chasing the Ref at Bolton near the end because he thought he should have had a Pen.

Yes, it was McCarthy, hit the bar, came down, bounced off the goalies bonce and over for a corner.

It wasn't McCarthy, it was one of their defenders. A lot of the reports said it was McCarthy and it looked like him at the time, but TV replays showed it was their player.
