Stop being facetious or pedantic.( whichever applies to you)
Let me put it in layman's terms
Since we won the league, many so called fans , believe we should be steamrolling over so called lesser teams because we are the mighty Leicester City that won the Premier league.
Ask Blackburn how that one worked out.

My beef with Puel isn't that we're not steamrolling over teams, it's that we aren't trying to beat them. It seems perfectly fine to draw all your games and even to be 1-0 down late in the game. It's shit to watch and we're not even having results to cover up the shitness. I can't watch it anymore, if he sticks with his style then I definitely want him gone as I'd like to watch my team again.

I genuinely not bothered where we finish in the league and I don’t expect us to be steamrolling teams. I fully expect that we’ll be relegated in the next few years as that’s the lot of a club like ours, and whilst I don’t want it to happen I’m at peace with it.

I’ve never bought into the idea that we’re a ‘big club’ now and should expect to challenge for the top six positions. No more than other clubs like ours anyway. Everybody in this league is loaded and any of us could ave an exceptional season and finish in the European places with good recruitment and tactical management.

My problem is the style of play. I don’t accept that fans of any club should have to put up with watching shit football. I don’t pay what I do every year to be bored on Saturday afternoons. As I posted yesterday it’s perfectly possible to be a midtable club and still be entertaining. Other clubs have done it in recent years. I don’t think

Puel is a bad manager. I think, if given a few years, he’d keep us happily ticking along around the middle of the division. But honestly; **** watching this shit. It’s not because we don’t have the players to play the way he wants. We played some brilliant attacking stuff in the title winning season. Especially in the early part when we had no league position to defend.

I’ll give him until the summer which will mean he’s had significantly longer than Shakespeare did. If it’s still turgid bollocks then he can go.

Agree with all that LeeCov. I am of an age where I want to be entertained -I accept good weeks alongside bad weeks but at the moment we are turgid.

I can’t believe any manager gets satisfaction from their team playing our current style. It is just awful to watch.

Homer picked it bob on before a ball was kicked stating Vardys isolation. If we continue to play this way we will lose players and of our current squad (Mahrez aside) he is our greatest asset, and will leave if he gets bored.

We have been entertaining and attacking under Puel when he first came. Many people questioning Southampton fans views on him. Yet here we are playing exactly how the doubters said we would. I said I would be happy with a top 10 finish this year i certainly wont be happy watching that standard every week . We could well do without another managerial change so soon after the previous one but we may be left with no option as a wave of apathy is heading our way.

I really can’t see why he’d go there. It’s not like it would be to rejoin Shakey and Walsh, as neither of them will be there much longer.
I don’t think the backroom staff makes any difference. Nice big fat contract at his age will be appealing. He’ll also know that there isn’t much competition there, so he’s likely to play.

I suspect that, if he stays with us, it will be with the benefit of a new contract in the summer, anyway.

Having said what I said, earlier, it doesn’t really bother me. I’ve long had a “que sera, sera” attitude to football. If they choose to get rid of him, we’ll start again with the next man up.

That is sort of where I am at the moment.

I don't get what Puel is doing, I'm not sure what the plan is, how we are supposed to be playing. I look at our shape (particularly defensive) on the pitch sometimes and we're all over the place. I'm not saying we have to be in nice rigid lines of 4 at the back and across the middle or anything, I am saying I look and I see us in pockets, 3 or 4 of us together. It's like we hunt in packs. Have you ever seen the 'kick and rush' type football that 5 year olds play? It's kinda like that. I don't get it BUT I can put that to one side. Puel's the manager and I guess he knows what he's doing.

What I do know is that the result (but not necessarily results, I mean, under ordinary circumstances, a point at home from near on the last kick of the match, I'd take that) the result of Puel's presumably intended style is infuriating me. I wish I could be simply bored by it, but it goes further that that for me. I think we're going backwards. For me, it's like Puel has coached us out of what we could do and replaced it with, well, nothingness.

Ok, maybe he's got aspirations of us playing like Man City or something. Maybe we've (well, I) have got to give it time. I mean, even Man City were crap at times last season (some would say this season too!) So maybe it will become good. At the moment though, I simply can't see where it's going and it's certainly not enjoyable to watch that happening.

Losing Amartey early on was unfortunate but replacing him with Chilwell as a left winger and moving Albrighton to right back was unfathomable when the score was 0-0. Why wasn't Puel trying to win the game instead of trying not to lose it?

Chilwell was so ineffectual it was embarrassing. Albrighton so poor at everything he did it was painful to watch. It took Puel 80 minutes to make an attempt to win the game by putting Diabate on instead of the two left backs.

The frustration is that it is not only the fans who don't understand what he is trying to do but the players also.

Sometimes you can have several players off form and not playing well but when it is nearly the whole team week after week, especially at home, then something is clearly not working. This cannot go on.

Personally I think it would be a mistake to sack him at the moment. Statistically Puel is a very good manager, I'd be wary of pulling the trigger early. I think Southampton made that mistake of not giving him enough time and we should learn from it. If we were down the bottom battling survival then it's different with all the money at stake but we are very likely to be safe. Definitely keep him, give him the summer to make more additions and such and just see where we're at after a couple of months into next season.

lets forget about slagging players off .we know we have some good players.THE PROBLEM LIES WITH THAT F******* PUEL for Christ sake get rid now.i cant bloddy watch much more.GET RID NOW.PLEASE
