Not too many issues with the overall result or performance from some players who aren't good enough for this level of football.

I do however have a massive issue with the small details of our game. Slow to react to throwings, backs still turned when they have already thrown the ****ing ball.

Our attitude towards attention to detail and the finer points of the game is ****ing shocking, amateurish at best.

The determination and will to win every battle has well and truly left some of our players. They have won the league and they will never be the same again.

Despite this and as I said, the result was expected, the lineup was as expected and the performance overall was ok.

My main issue is a more general one at this stage. It's like the club is being ran by imbeciles, incapable of getting important things right.

The fact we had Matty James and king in midfield 1 full season after winning the league is truly tragic.

I'm just waiting for the announcement of a new deal for Andy.

We seem a bit rudderless, drifting around just waiting to see what happens rather capitalising on our position and developing a real identity......it's kind of gone already.

Winning the Premier League has kind of spoilt it for me.

I know what you mean.

Someone the other day asked me if I'd like Leicester to win it again. I had to really think hard and was surprised that I answered no.

However, at least we had a plan. An idea of how to play against them. Today, we sent our side out against them with no consideration whatsoever for how they were going to play.

Do you, in all honestly, believe this? Do you think he sent them onto the pitch with the words 'Do what you like lads, plans are for bellends'? Perhaps his plan was to defend and hit them on the counter. Perhaps if Vardy and Slimani had done their job properly during the first half we would have been two up before the end of the half. I'm not suggesting it was vintage in terms of performance but there was a clear plan. What you meant to say was that there was a plan that you disagreed with. This is absolutely fine as it's an 'opinion' that is as valid as everyone else's rather than made-up rubbish.

The score was 1-2 but they could and should have picked us off for at least a couple more. We created little and it was sad to see just how wide a gulf between the sides there was.

Apart from the two chances we should have taken in the first half and the penalty we scored you mean? Like I say, it wasn't a wonderful performance but let's not reinvent history to suit our means eh?

There are several players of genuine quality in our squad. Really top players that can mix it with anyone. However, after every game like this, I can almost see another little bit of air disappearing out of their tyres. Soon, they'll just be bang average or demanding moves.

The problem is that we don't have nearly as many of these types of players as Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City, Spurs etc... who all invested much more intelligently than we did after our title winning season. So the expectation that we should be able to go toe to toe with them at all times is ludicrous.

All this and more from Shakespeare with another boring performance from a boring team playing boring football.

My question is, if we had hired Mancini, the man you were so vociferous in recommending and our results in terms of wins and losses this season had been exactly the same (which in all probability they would have been), would you have been so vehement about the fact that it was all to do with poor management? I ask because I am genuinely intrigued. You can't keep using the games from last season as a guide either - his remit was completely different for those games and he had to play in a way that was more likely to get us points rather than plaudits.

I absolutely agree about the club management. Recruitment has been a shambles as has the way memberships and tickets have been dealt with. Little things that piss off supporters are bad for the club and this radiates to the players. They need a rocket up their arse.

The problem with not getting any results against any of the big sides (and he's had plenty of stabs at that) is that it eliminates your margin for error.

We go into next weekend in need of a win against an in form Huddersfield. We lose that and we will almost definitely be in the bottom 3. Then its Liverpool.

Entirely possible, even likely that we pick up 3 points from 6 games and in the bottom three. I recognize the difficulty in the early games, but at some point being in the bottom three is a stink that sticks around.

In short, lose at Huddersfield and, rightly or wrongly, Shakey is under immense pressure.

Yet again we looked much better in a 433 please learn that lesson and go with it

We really didn't though. We were probably better in the first half and the substitutions at half-time didn't really work.

Do you (blah, blah, blah) than plaudits.

Are you seriously expecting me to respond to this nonsense?

Listen, I'm sure there are others as bored as me with your determination to argue against just about everything I post.

You don't agree with me, that's fine. I respect your opinion. Just move on.

I genuinely believe we need a manager who can demand and get the respect of the players. Shakespeare, and I know have criticised his appointment before now, but his lack of abilities in terms of formations and changing them during a game are blatantly obvious. We have some good players, but we need to be creative with their skills. Shakey simply doesn't have a creative instinctive, no doubt he is a good coach, but that's it. Responding to what is happening during a game is down to guessing, he really doesn't see patterns so has no idea how to counteract what is happening during a game. He sticks to old tactics, which brings some success, but is unable spring a surprise. Teams know our strengths, and would have worked hard to make sure they can contain breakouts at speed. They will not stop all of them but enough to make a difference to the final scoreline. Europe, under Shakey no chance, survival just about.

For someone who wasn't going to respond to 'such nonsense' this is some response.

I was asking you a question so that you could attempt to justify your rant rather than type out the same rehearsed rubbish week in week out and look like a toddler who didn't get sweets at the checkout. Guess it was a wasted opportuunity for you.

For the record, I mostly agree with your posts as they are often reasonable. The only thing recently I don't agree with is your incessant nonsense about how much more you know about how to manage a football team than Craig Shakespeare. Congratulations though on the most childish response to a post you've ever posted. I expected rather more from you.

I'm waiting for the chuckle brothers to come along and blame it all on Morgan...

I'm not Morgan's biggest fan but he was one of our better players today. Maybe because he could be out of a place if he underperforms with Huth and Dragovic on the sidelines...

As has been said, our performances in a tough start against all the top sides have been very good, full of endeavour but we just aren't at the same level of quality. Adrien Silva would be a big addition to our midfield so it is disappointing that the club have managed to **** that one up... I am assuming Iheanacho isn't properly fit, otherwise I don't quite understand why he doesn't start. Aside from Vardy none of our other forwards ever provide much of an offensive threat against good opposition.

It's odd. I thought we looked better as a 4-3-3 but there were some really poor moments at times. In the first half we had fewer of these such moments but we didn't look as productive. Its difficult to strike a balance but I think against Huddersfield I would certainly go 4-4-2 and try to get the ball wide at the earliest opportunity.

The fact we had Matty James and king in midfield 1 full season after winning the league is truly tragic.

They were playing together five years ago in the Championship, and here we are going full circle and (painfully) watching them play together again

It's like the finest period in our history never actually happened at all, and we back where we belong

Tragic is about right

This is the most ridiculous thing. James and King should have been moved on some time ago but we hung on to them like comfort blankets. We needed the Silva deal and another CM purchase to really push these players to the side lines and beyond but we somehow managed to bollocks it up again this year.

There were some real plusses with the acquisitions of Iborra, Nachoman and Maguire but those great deals have been overshadowed by the whole Silva debacle.

I think we have to accept that if Silva and Iborra were available, King and James would be playing the benchwarming role. We have had some unfortunate injuries in midfield.

Silva isn't injured. He's not our player.

We only have one injury. Sad thing is our starting XI is good but our back up isn't particularly. (Well we don't know if Iborra is actually good yet. Hope to feck he is).

Selling Drinkwater without getting a replacement in could be disastrous.
