The problem was not systems as quality of player. For various reasons this was not our best side. The new striker whose name I forget is not match fit; injury is keeping out Iborra and I guess Shinji; Presumably there is a problem with new centre back. Hopefully Silva will become available. They are a Champions League side with a few exceptions we are Premier League or in the case of Slimani not even that. Yet I saw a game in which Chelsea were hanging on for their win. We were not bad.

Talk about the same old Leicester is nonsense. For most of my time as a supporter we were either fighting relegation from the First Division or trying to get promotion from the Second. For much of this century we were not even that. Mid table of the top tier is what made Bloomfield and O'Neill successful.

However, at least we had a plan. An idea of how to play against them. Today, we sent our side out against them with no consideration whatsoever for how they were going to play.

So last season we had a plan how to play against them and we got slaughtered 3-0. Yet today we had no plan and admirably lost 2-1.

I've been a big critic of Ndidi since April, but have to say I thought he was decent today.

Morgan and Maguire also played well.

Disappointing to hear Shakespeare talking about luck. We didn't really get any bad luck today, we just weren't good enough when it mattered.

Last season's win against Liverpool in his first game in charge aside, Shakespeare has now lost six in six against the top six, most of those comfortably.

As somebody else alluded to, failing to pick up any points against the top six leaves you needing to be pretty much flawless in winning at home and drawing away against everybody else if you want to get 50 points and finish mid table. Throw in a few losses against the likes of Everton and Southampton and you're soon looking over your shoulder.

I don't think we'll be relegated this year but I think any lingering hope that we might still be able to have another serious go at cracking the top-6 and getting into Europe through the league are now dead.

I suspect the history books will look favourably upon him still, but Steve Walsh has a lot to answer for with that utter shambles of a transfer window in summer 2016. Since then with signings like Ndidi, Maguire and Iheanacho things seem to have improved, but that summer was our big opportunity and he threw it away and then jumped ship which for me is almost unforgivable.

I absolutely agree about the club management. Recruitment has been a shambles as has the way memberships and tickets have been dealt with. Little things that piss off supporters are bad for the club and this radiates to the players. They need a rocket up their arse.

Apart from the farce on deadline day I think our recruitment has been very good in the summer.

I'd agree had it not been for debacle of the signing of Silva. We were short anyway with DD still here, now we are desperately short. What was looking like being a very successful transfer window has somehow been bollocksed up again by sheer incompetence.

We seem to have changed remarkably quickly from a team that could beat anyone on the day to one that supporters hope can collect enough points from the weaker teams to make up from being more or less written off in games against the strong teams. Not sure that that is going to work.

Secondly, we don't seem to give much encouragement to talented young players - which must make retention and future recruitment difficult.

Thirdly, is it in the club's best interest to keep selecting a very skilful player who has made it crystal clear he doesn't want to play for the club and whose form has been patchy for much of the last season and a bit - especially when this effectively excludes a highly rated (by other clubs) youngster.
