A few observations:

1. He’s sniffed out Faes almost immediately

2. Vesty and Coady installed

3. Appears to be getting a tune out of El Khannouss

4. Already has a Daka goal

5. Subs, generally, are pretty good and have impacted games

6. Vards looks well up for it

All in all Ruuds done a really good job early doors, I think.

Plus Mavadidi looked much more motivated when he came on.

Unbelievable.

I thought the first 85 mins was one of the poorest performances we’ve seen at the KP this season
Really? One of the poorest this season at the KP? One....of.... the.... poorest ???
Maybe it's just me, I never felt we were out of it, even though we were playing one of the top sides in this league. Sure there were few sloppy mistakes but at times we defended well, look good on the break and, all though at times struggled, overall kept our shape well and looked like there was a plan with leadership. I saw some really good stuff today, but it was 1.30am for me so maybe I was dreaming.
But if that was the poorest then why do I feel a lot more optimistic, after yet another Ruud performance?

Yep I thought the first 85 minutes was mostly lacklustre, toothless and we never looked like scoring. And only better than the Forest and Chelsea matches. And then bang out of nowhere we turned it around.

Never felt we were out of it? Not even at the 80th minute when it was 0-2 and we’d only had one shot on target all match? Come on now.

The fight back was commendable, and it’s a decent result, but I haven’t seen as much improvement in our performances under Ruud as others seem to have seen. Not that I’m really expecting much improvement mind, seeing as he’s been here 5 minutes and working with the same group of players.

Yeh but tje poorest?? I think that, thankfully, I have represseed at lot of the memories from the start of season. But stand out shitness for me was .... WARNING, SOME PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM MAY BE STILL IN RECOVERY. THE FOLLOWING MAY CAUSE THE ONSET OF RECURRING TRAUMA.....

Everton, at home, we really needed to win but looked like we just didn't want to win?? ......****in awful is what it was.

Southampton, a team we smashed last season...because they're shite. 2-2 after 97 mins. We were so bad BN made a killing with the bookies. Thank **** for Fatawu

Spurs, how lucky was that???

I've missed out the ones where we went through a phase of having a good half, and then just being clueless and overwhelmed by sides....with no ****ing idea?

Be careful CF, it's like you have an #agenda?

No, not the poorest. One of the poorest at home.

Southampton was away.

Try reading. Thanks.

Reluctantly I have to agree. That's why so many left as soon as Brighton scored their second. Our performance up until then felt very flat and you just couldn't see us getting anything.

What was different to the SC era (for me at least was two fold:

1) Team effort, we were second best to a better team overall, the only way you get something out of a game like this is effort, and we had spades of it and almost everyone gave their all.

2) Organisation, belief and substitutions. We were much better organised with a distinct shape and style, we closed down quickly and collectively. We didn't look beaten, we were second best but we kept going. The substitutions seemed right as well, just right in fact. This was borne out by the fact that the substitutions changed the game and ultimately the outcome.

For me we look a much more difficult proposition to beat than under SC. The late draw will inevitably give us confidence and also concern opponents that perhaps the 'Leicester Never Die' ethos is back.

If you can't see the difference then either

a) You're not understanding what you are watching; or
b) You are clinging on to a ridiculous CooperLove agenda; or
c) Wibble

You have to put our performances in their proper context.

We are, at best, the 18th best team in the league. Sadly, teams like Brighton are far ahead of us now.

What I saw yesterday was a fighting group of players giving their all against the odds. And we weren't massively outplayed.

Getting a point was comparable to the draw at home to Spurs on the first day. Before yesterday, have we fought back to get a result against a superior side since? And in the Spurs game, they could have scored five in the first half but I didn't see that sort of vulnerability yesterday.

After the first few games, the problem under Cooper was that we were neither tactically competing nor fighting. Yesterday I saw both of these things.

Coady was excellent and I haven't said that really since he joined us. He and Vestergaard look so much better than any other pairing we have used so far. Vestergaard put in some fantastic challenges today but his passing was a little sloppy at times which is unlike him.

Just take a look at Vestergaard for the second Brighton goal.

It begins with him completely out of position. Then when the ball gets played forward, the Leicester defenders and midfield sprint back towards goal.

Well they do except for one lumbering oaf that gently jogged back getting nowhere near the penalty area as the ball hit the net.

Not really a left sided central defender, is he?

In reality, we probably need at least one new centre back in January. It’s make do until then.

Yep. A new centre back should be high on the list.

Vestergaard can sometimes appear as a composed, calm, lynch pin at the heart of defence, just what we need, and his distribution can be first class. But, as you say, the lumbering oaf thing. You'd think for someone who knows his speed limitations, why does he find himself out of position? He's not thick.
Ruud should strap a chain around him and make him drag a tyre behind him 24/7. Imaging a fast Vestergaard!!!

What a masterclass from Rudkin giving him a 3 year deal. Honestly, what a ****.
