Commentator made it sound as if it was all Leicester. Doesn't reflect everyone's view on here.

Anyway, amazing! Even our B-team can't lose! :D

We absolutely pissed all over them. We played a reserve side and they fielded a very strong one...and we tore them to bits.

Lovely performances from a few: Fuchs, King, Ulloa spring to mind.

But I must say, Kante, without exaggeration, looks like one of the best midfielders I've ever watched in a city shirt. He's absolutely unbelievable.

Even the back four looked relatively solid. I'd say almost everyone, with the possible exception of Kramaric, made a case for a place in the side.

Great stuff.

I love us to go far in this. We've got a big enough squad to do well in both league and cup, don't think we need to sacrifice either of them.

Thought Adrian had a cracking game, took a superb finish by King to beat him. Thought we were never going to score though.

Yep. All of this.

Benalouane worries the hell out of me though!

Ref seemed very keen not to give free kicks.

We're really ****ing good, chaps. In that extra time period and the ten before the 90 were up, we clobbered them.

West Ham only ever looked like scoring on the break. Kante is an absolute tackling machine.

Every game we've gone into I've expected us not to do so well this season. I'm excited for Arsenal now, as we appear to be the real deal. COYB.

God bless you, MA, but you watched a different game to me - I thought both sides were very, very poor. Kramaric, Wasyl and Inler were shocking, and Schlupp showed quite clearly why he should stick to left back

Agree about Kante, though, who looked stunning, not for the first time.

But who gives a shite, we're through - and those vile porn peddling southern shitbags can feck off back darn sarf

I agree he didn't seem very confident and looked uncertain at times. Probably our weakest link tonight

I thought he was OK - certainly better than when he has come on as right back. Fuchs impressed - he was getting beaten easily by Moses but changed the way he marked him to effectively exclude him from the game.

King was very good, Inler still doesn't seem to have caught up to the pace of the game. Looked better the further the game went but then he should have done, since he was less tired than everyone else having gently ambled around the pitch for the first 90 minutes. Schlupp looked like he didn't want to be out there when he first came on. Kramaric showed why he isn't getting selected - he doesn't release the ball quickly enough.

Managed to watch most of the match on the BEIN stream - I thought Fuchs was immense.....he has to play on Saturday.

Some comments from a WHam site:

2-1 Leicester - can't say they haven't deserved it

****ybollox

Balls. Going to get beaten by a second string 11 from a newly promoted club....

They deserved that, no complaints.

Bilic out

It's just one of those where you have to hand it to Leicester, they never stopped going, same as against Villa, and it's well deserved really.

West Ham stunk the place out tonight...that performance was so reminiscent of last year it was scary. they made 10 changes and totally outplayed us.......we looked knackered....the City victory has obviously taken its toll both physically and mentally. I'm beginning to really despise Leicester!

We have to be honest and see the positives that we're out of this competition, whilst our rivals for the league title have more midweek games (Man City and Leicester).

their manager - everyone goes on about him being a nice bloke but I think he looks a bit noncey

Leicester are our new Birmingham this season

It does make you think, where do they get their energy from!

Fair play to Leicester, completely outplayed us. Dropped very deep when we had the ball, nullifying our counter attacking style, and they attacked with pace and numbers. We where absolutely blowing after 60, which is to be expected after that monumental performance Saturday.

this ref tucked us up good and proper, three penalties denied

fair play to Leicester they've put out almost a second team and had the lions share of the clear chances; deserved the win while we simply didn't give their keeper enough to do.

Since mahrez and schlupp came on they have basically destroyed us for pace.

F*cked by the ref, simple as.

We win otherwise. Adrian is class.

Ref is an inept or cheating ****.

We looked knackered by the end.
Leicester deserved it on the run of play but the ref helped them out a lot.

Leicester deserved that...we were pretty poor to be honest and this might have bought a few people talking about top 4 etc down to Earth.

Got to hand it to Leicester. Job well done and deservedly so. One for Super Slav do dissect and learn from.

We weren't that bad

Yep. Ref was a first class **** but they deserved to go through for sure

The players have done well recently and let us not take away anything from Leicester. Tinker man has given them belief. They can beat anyone regardless of what personnel they put out. That's good management.

We were very poor for the last half hour of normal time and extra time, every time Leicester went forward they looked like they were going to score, fullbacks were awful and with moses as the lone striker we did very little

Ok, we deaerved a penalty, but there was a load of tippy tappy, sideways, **** and, to be faiir, the better team won.

'm not too bothered to be honest, annoying losing to them again but you have to say on balance they did deserve it, even with a couple of marginal penalty decisions. If we're going on a cup run I'd rather it be the FA cup so I've decided that is the one we will win this season

No complaints from me, as Leicester were the better team despite making 10 changes. However, I think the signs are good for Saturday, and we played some intelligent football at times.

I was impressed with Leicester.

no question leicester were the better team and deserved the win on chances, but **** me if the ref wasn't such a tosser that game would of gone our way. obviously i'd like to see the incidents again on a clearer channel but that looked like 3 pens, simpson somehow stayed on the pitch, their final goal was offside and noble gets booked for diving when fouled yet kramaric gets nothing for actually diving

I think the ref had quite a good game apart from 3 decisions he got wrong - all in their favour. We were beaten by the better side on the day. Didn't feel robbed after the final whistle but did feel I had seen a good game.

Disappointed to go out of the competition so early, particularly after the early Europa League exit. Unfortunately we picked up probably one of the worst draws we could have and got beat fair and square by the better side.

So what did we learn tonight?

Bilic took the cup seriously, but it backfired
The standard of refereeing in this competition is atrocious
We badly miss Sakho
We looked a bit like last season's team starting with a static Carroll up front
Leicester are a dirty niggly side
Collins is still a liability
Mark Noble's passing and decision-making can be utterly woeful at times
Leicester will finish in the top six this season
We badly miss Sakho

Leicester will not finish in the top 6 this season

We were poor
Ref was ****ing shocking really terrible
Leicester were really very good.

Ranieri is a bit of a wizard methinks.

The noble one wasn't a penalty! he mistimed his dive.

How many times was Schwarzer tested tonight? Focus on that and not the referee.

We had plenty of warning and didn't take note, Collins lazy pass which led to the goal and it cost us.

Regardless to pens not given etc. we were second best all game bar a 15 min spell towards the end of the 90 mins. Defensively very poor with only Adrian who came out of it who can say he played well. Passing was horrific, Noble and Collins constantly passed it back to them

Ok, we deaerved a penalty, but there was a load of tippy tappy, sideways, **** and, to be faiir, the better team won.

This makes me laugh, last season we were a hoof team, this season we are too tippy tappy.
we clearly need to play some tippy tappy hoof ball.
Leicester second string were very good tonight, we were pretty poor.

Very entertaining game between two good sides. I thought we looked polished, just not enough cutting edge in the final third. I think Sakho would have made a difference. Give credit to Leicester, they are on fire at the moment and have been since the start of the year.

The ref changed the game by not awarding first Moses a penalty and then Noble, which would have seen Simpson sent off (he fouled Moses earlier when on a yellow, why didn't the ref give him a second yellow then?)

All in all, it's probably good that we have been brought back down to earth a little, as we really shouldn't be starting threads titled "Can we win the league?"

Sat in the car park waiting to leave
We ran out of legs
Had some dodgy decisions
On chances, they deserved it...Adrian the only keeper having to do any work at all
When Carroll went off we lost our outlet and that was that

Disappointing. That team should have been enough to see off the side Leicester put out. Fair play to Leicester though. I like their shape and how they go about things. It's an effective way of playing.

I thought Leicester fully deserved that, they played a much more weakened side that was happy to sit back in their half and concede possession to us knowing they could exploit the space in our half once they got the ball off us.

We really didn't look creating a chance in extra time and whereas some might bang on about penalty decisions without Adrian we could have easily lost that 3 or 4-1.

he's done an amazing job so far to go unbeaten this season with the opposition they have faced and being behind 2-0 in the last 2 games and getting 4 points from them, they are on the crest of a wave, working amazing hard, have great speed in their team but i don't think it will last,I don't rate their back 4 at all

Leicester set themselves up so we couldn't play them on the counter.
Same as they did at our place.
Good tactics from their manager.

I will say I wasn't paying much attention in the first half. I did watch the second half and extra time and I genuinely think we were excellent. Our finishing was shit mind and Schlupp gave his critics plenty of ammo. He wasted a hatful of chances. But if we hadn't won that we would have been robbed.

Get Fuchs in that team!!

Get Fuchs in that team!!

I thought Fuchs was great tonight but I still think Schlupp is the better choice at left-back. He plays the position so differently from pretty much everyone else, while still delivering on the essential duties.

Impressive result.

How long before Kramaric goes on loan? Have to say the best thing about spending all that money on him is Vardy upping his game.
