This lad whos playing FIFA sounds like a tactical genius, snap him up Nige!

Debating whether Nugent should come back in...

This guy says he plays a 4-3-1-2 on FIFA though, with one behind, so clearly that's the way forward to get them all in. Job done, take some time off now Nige.

I'll have you know he got Margate from the Conference to the Premier League in 4 years.:icon_bigg

They had :icon_bigg

As one who really moaned about them last week, rightly so IMHO, I hardly noticed them tonight. In fact they were turned down so much that the Puma advert was almost lost as it was so pale! Brilliant stuff although a steward told me they had to be brighter for TV games.

Ah good stuff. Even though there may have been a touch of sarcasm in my post I did agree with the moaners as they seemed to be worse against Charlton than Huddersfield but I'd have got crucified if I had mentioned it.

Good to see the club take the feedback on-board though as there is nothing wrong with having them, unless they burn your retinas!

An excellent performance.

People concentrate on the goals we score but Kasper made a save in the first half that was quite brilliant.

During the second half there were compaints around me about the amount of possession we allowed Blackburn. This seemed to me quite wrong. I have noticed that when defendiong a lead of more than one goal Pearson's team allows the opposition to have the ball where it does not matter. Every time Blackburn tried to get the ball into a dangerous area they were outnumbered and the attack was easily snuffed out. It made Blackburn look poorer than they perhaps are and must have been most frustrating for their manager.

Justice has been served! In the reverse fixture, at the start of the season, we did everything BUT win it! It was one of those "how the feck did we lose that??" matches.
Well done lads.....onwards & upwards!

Better performance. They were absolute dogshite but you can only beat what is front of you. I had Konch as man of the match. Gap opening up between us and 7th. Need to get something from the carrot crunchers. Hope it doesn't snow.

Blackburn were up there with some of the poorest opposition of the season. A back four with zero pace, a midfield who couldn't be arsed and a strikeforce given long balls to chase.

Nice to see the team look more threating. Far more balanced across the eleven yesterday. Kane looks like an ideal strike partner for anyone; comes short for the ball and buzzes around in front of the defence.

Very happy for Kingy.

Cheers Haz. I'm happy for you too ;).

2011 - When Ritchie Wellens plays well City play well.
2013 - When Danny Drinkwater plays well City play well.
Or:

2011 - When City play well Ritchie (sic) Wellens plays well.
2013 - When City play well Danny Drinkwater plays well.

Most importantly we didn't miss Nugent, and when you consider he's been our only reliable striker for a huge part of the current season, that is a real blessing. He can now get some physio on his neck, and not be rushed back.

Agreed, but I still think both players were/are instrumental to NP's tactics and when one had/has a bad game the team suffers/suffered from it.

Danny Drinkwater has been my player of the season so far, he's the starting point for 90% of our play and covers more ground than any player I've seen for a long while.

Wellens was employed in the exact same role - except he had more bite in the tackle and 5 years on the legs - but he still had a similar impact.

Nugent won't want to miss the Ipswich match. I expect him to start even if only half fit, as he did in the reverse fixture.
