Howard, Oakley, King and especially Fryatt all stood out today, but Sheff were very poor.

Interesting you say that, after we went 2-0 Sky went across to Scott Minto who was at the game. He claimed they very hard done by to be losing, and were playing quite well.

I text the above to Duzza who reckons Minto must have been at another game. It sounds like he was ....

I sent my text in to RL when I got back in the car and they rang me up.:icon_roll

My text asked if we could keep the Oakley clone, so I spoke about him, said he had been crap so far this season(and the bloke in the studio apologised for the rude word:icon_eek:)

Said the midfield look a lot better, Morrison was superb, didn't get chance to say Howard had a good game and that King was MOTM(yes...I did just say that)

Ah well!

Made me laugh when you used that horribly offensive word, I knew they'd be having kittens over it. :icon_bigg

Get in! That was spot on lads, well done. Nige went back to basics and it worked very well.

Weale - 5 - Naff all to do, nearly gifted them a way back into the match at 2-0 with a bizzare decision to rush out. Hobbs or Moz saved his bacon.

Morrison - 7 - Solid, strong and offered good support for Oakley.

Hobbs - 7 - Didn't put a foot wrong, Stayed tight to his man and never let him turn.

Brown - 7 - Much, much better. Dealt well with the main striker, (the one with lively elbows) won nearly all of his headers.

Berner - 7 - Sound.

Oakley - 8 - What a difference a good Matt Oakley makes to the team, a touch of class providing that that he didn't have to move much. Unlucky not to score with an absolutly rasping shot early on.

Wellens - 7 - He plays well, the whole team plays well. Simples.

King - 8 - Tidy, would have been a 7 but for two impeccably well taken goals.

Dyer - 7 - Good width and offered an pacy outlet. Showed his physical side at times too.

Howard - 9 - Now thats a target man, we looked a completly different side with him to aim at today. Simple but important goal, lost count of the vast amount of headers he won today.

Fryatt - 7 - Showed the other side of his game today with some smart hold up play and a nice one-two with King for the second goal.

SUBS

McGivern - 6 - I wish this lad could defend because he can get forward like no one's business, some smashing crosses. His semi-cleared cross led to the third goal.

Gally - 5 - Didn't have the chance to do owt.

Kermorgant - 5 - Had a goal bound header cleared and nearly decapitated Oakley with an attempted scissor kick.

Fair play to their fans, they were quite funny, 'we're shit and we know we are' rang out. They also celebrated every shot as though they had scored. In short, Wednesday were shit, we were proffesional and put our chances away.

If thats true it was a Howard hat-trick
One scored the first important goal, then me and my son on Radio Leicester as they phoned him up as I told them to as he'd been to the game and lived in Sheffield

I think I heard him, was he the lad travelling back on the train?

:038::038::038: Great result!

Thought Fryatt was fantastic today, created all 3 goals, well certainty the first 2 and a fantastic flick to start off the move for the 3rd, looked a yard quicker and chased everything. Shame he didn't get a goal oday, he deserved it.

Howard, King and Hobbs all looked good too.

But MOTM for me was Michael Morrison, absolutely season defining save, that was going in and it looked like he had no chance of getting to it from where I was sitting. Also looked really good going forward and got a few good crosses in too.

All in all top stuff.
