The short-term future of the club was secured in the week

Friday, Riders lost to Plymouth in the BBL Trophy.

Saturday in front of the biggest crowd of the season at JSC, they beat table toppers Guildford, overtaking Chester in the process meaning Riders are currently in the playoffs with 13 matches left.

Chester lost on Sunday against Scottish Rocks meaning they have one game in hand. London United won over the weekend to go on 18 pts.

how?

A 37-point scoring barrage from Terrence McGee helped the Leicester Riders thrash London United 107-70.

The Riders, whose future has been in doubt this season, are now a single win away from the final play-offs spot, currently held by United.

Great Britain international Yorick Williams backed up McGee with 24 points, including six three-pointers.

The Guildford Heat edged clear at the top of the British Basketball League with a 91-73 win at Worcester.

England international Rod Wellington followed up his 15 points against Chester 24 hours previously with 25 points against Worcester.

Dan Gilbert also scored 25 for Guildford and another England cap, club captain Michael Martin, added 17 points. Tom Perkes again led the bottom-placed Wolves with 22 points.

cracking stuff.

I wonder how the club survives with the crowds they draw? The few games I went to last year there only seemed to be 200-300 people at the games.

I think they were helped by the last few games of the season when they were getting crowds between 500-600.

They desperately need a proper venue which is their own and near the city.
