Has anyone been able to order a paper ticket for this?

When I go online, it says I've selected mobile tickets (obviously I've not) and won't let me do anything else as far as I can see.

Yes. Same for me. I don't want a mobile ticket.

Absolute farce. Unbelievable. No point buying online so I'll just ring the ticket office. Defeats the whole object of them trying to save money doesn't it?

Or stop using paper tickets and use mobile tickets which work perfectly well.

****ing hell, what a bunch of technophobic wankers.
Hard to see why they can't activate our season ticket cards to allow entry. It can't be that difficult.

The queue sizes when they did this in the LC indicated that it doesn't work perfectly well. It was a total shambles.

This game will see a lot more people and I guarantee it will be a total shitshow.

Although if people react like me then maybe the ground won't be busy. I'm now not going on principle.

I bet you change your mind.

I persevered and rang the ticket office. Joined the queue at number 17 and took 29 minutes 30 seconds in total. A bit like trying to get an appointment with a doctor.

I don’t know how all this works because I haven’t been arsed to go to a game in years other than Napoli.

Are the tickets only accessible with a smart phone? Are the tickets locked to one device? If so what happens if you lose or forget your phone? If someone finds or steals your phone can they get in instead of you? Will it work if you have no battery?

Are the tickets only accessible with a smart phone?

Yes. It's an NFC ticket, so it works the same way as using your phone to make a contactless payment. You need an Apple or Android phone. When you buy a ticket they send you an email with a link to load the ticket to your phone's wallet.

Are the tickets locked to one device?

I think it can be cancelled on the device it's been loaded on, then loaded onto another.

what happens if you lose or forget your phone?

The same thing that happens if you lose or forget a paper ticket.

If someone finds or steals your phone can they get in instead of you?

Only if they can unlock your phone. So it's more secure than a paper ticket.

Will it work if you have no battery?

No.

I've seen dozens of people struggling to use them on matchdays, and dozens more being told to go to the ticket office when it doesn't work - it's a complete ****ing shambles
