It's a strange selection really. I'm neither confident nor dismayed by it. Defensively it looks like we lack a huge amount of pace but if Amartey plays like he has been doing of late and Andy King has one of his 3 in every 10 great performances, the middle of the park looks fine. Gray deserves his chance and Albrighton will be needed for defensive tidying up. The front two? Needs must really. I'm not as enamoured by Slimani as some seem to be but Okazaki will be as busy as ever.

I like him...just not at this level anymore. Just a bit too slow and sloppy.

Surprising that Was makes it in ahead of Hernandez (arguably a suicidal decision) and that he's not replaced Vardy with someone a bit more similar i.e. Musa but it's good to see Gray get the start he deserves and equally I think Mahrez might benefit from a bit of a rest. Also IMO I quite like that Drinkwater has been dropped. King and Amartey have shown a little promise recently and would be unfair to drop them based purely on how good Drinkwater was last season.
