How about a 3 5 2 formation on Saturday. Was and Wes enforcers with Moore slightly in front. RDL / Simpson and Schlupp as wing backs. Cambiasso + 1 (James or Drinkwater or Hammond or King) Nugent or Mahrez at the top of the midfield diamond. Vardy
and Leo up front. ??????

If you're playing Moore in front of the two CB's, isn't he now playing defensive midfield? If so, who's your other CB?

You've then got a midfield diamond 5? Not sure how that works..

So thinking outside the box, here's my solution.

This sounds to me like it could be the famous 2-3-1-3-2 formation.

Schmeichel
Was Wes

De Laet Moore Schlupp

Cambiasso

Drinkwater James

Mahrez

Ulloa Vardy

Moore is playing advanced centre back (ACB), Cambiasso defensive midfield and two proper old-fashioned centre backs, sorted.

Let's hope we raise it against these, or Silva will rip our lads a new hole.

Isn't that 12 players?

Best not to mention it just in case Man City or the ref find out.

Personally, I would prefer a slightly more sophisticated approac developed when I was about 8 in the playground. Everyone plays on the right hand side of the pitch. Think I will set off to the training ground to advise Nigel.

Looks like those calling for Ben Hamer will get their wish ...

NP: "Unfortunately Kasper Schmeichel will be having an operation on a broken metatarsal. The optimistic view is 4-6 weeks out." #LeiMnc

My Dad thinks Kasper is absolute toss so he'll be delighted.

Hopefully Hamer will make it really hard for Kasper to get his place back.

Well, at least with us having such a solid back four, he'll get some protection.

Oh, no, hang on a minute ...

I bet Hamer is absolutely shitting himself.
