Re: Leicester v Middlesborough

O'Niells quip was quite acerbic, wasn't it?

MON's quip acidity rating : 5 out of 10

Pontus's quip stupidity rating: 10 out of 10

Football is a sport; football is not an entertainment.

Sport is about winners and losers; not about looking good.

:038::038::038: Exactly what I've been saying for years.

Who cares if teams just 'lump the ball upfield' or 'set out to defend' or 'kill the game' or 'shut up shop' or whatever silly phrase people might want to come out with? The scoreline is the only thing that counts.

On the not of Kaamark's freezing out of Juninho....

Seems Pontus didn't enjoy the task at all. I was a little surprised to hear this.

Excellent. I liked Martin's reply.

It is the job of defenders to make things difficult for attackers. In the 1960s there was a saying "Technique is doing it on the training ground; skill is doing it with Norman Hunter's boot up your arse."
Defenders like Eddie Clamp of Wolves and Jimmy Scouler of Newscastle got away with sheer thuggery and still failed to stop Stanley Matthews and Bobby Charlton from entertaining. Juninho had it easy by comparison.

Re: Leicester v Middlesborough

Doriva. I was lucky enough to see his only goal in English football.

Little centre mid?

Alan Boksic scored probably the best goal I've ever seen live against us at Filbo in the 2000/2001 season, ran from inside his own half before hitting a curling chip with the inside of his foot over Tim Flowers.

Don't think I've ever seen us score 82 goals in 3 league games before.

Sorry guys no king for me at present,he seems to be out of touch at the moment ,so bench him for a while, and get the old andy king back to top form ,as weve seen him in the past .
