Was just going to post the same. Benitez has got his team to stifle us. Carragher has it right in that we’ve been too focused on getting through the middle and not stretched them wide

Still struggling against a team that sits deep and focuses on defending against us.

Newcastle have done that very well though.

But we are still showing better intent than we did under Puel. Possession football waiting for the openings but far more movement from Barnes, Maddison and Gray to try and make something happen. It will come.

They've been closing us down well. Particularly Ndidi, they seem to have targeted him when he has possession and he's lost it a few times in dangerous areas.
