No point continuing with the same back 3, as we’re being pulled all over the shop. Trying to play 3 at the back with only one centre half. We might as well switch to a back 4.
Mendy to score the winner.

We've been playing a back 4 in the first half already
Fofana injury just typical. We were well on top before that. We really miss Ndidi in the middle. Maybe Big Wes straight swap would have been the better option.
If Chelsea condede a few more it could be enough
We’ve seen Chelsea get a bit scrappy elsewhere. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that Villa benefit from thatGood God, imagine.
I still think we won't make it though. But have more hope now than I did an hour ago
If our substitute centre halves aren't good enough then so be it but don't weaken our midfield to patch up the defence playing players out of position.Wilf was doing so well in midfield today too.
I am seeing now why Brendan sometimes goes with Hamza over Mendy
Mendy is a 'screening' DM, whereas Ndidi attacks the ball a lot more and helps win the ball a lot higher up.
Hamza slightly offers more of the latter. Mendy stays just in front of a back 4
Hes not going to change it again by taking Mendy off, so we just need to hope that it works. I can see why Ndidi went in, Morgan would've been pulled apart by their attacking pace and Amartey is too clumsy to play up against Kane and Son
VAR. confirmedPPepenalty!!!!!!
