I remember that game well. A typical Lineker goal.

but when there's a chance to show the greatest game of football ever (IMHO) here's Lynew setting up goals and playing in them.

I'm not entirely sure why Kapustka is deemed good enough to play for Poland right now but can't get on the bench for us in any competition? Just curious as I'd like to see him come on as a sub at some point.

West Brom will be physical and horrible. They will cause problems at set pieces and the loss of Schmeichel will be pivotal. 2-0 to the baggies.

So are you dropping or resting the two Ballon D'Or nominees?

Robert Huth:

This is an important point that the authorities need to look at.

Over the last 50 years the game has greatly reduced the amount of toughness and I can understand that - even though it takes it further away from grass roots kick arounds - professional players need some protection as we want to watch them week in and week out. But they really need to clamp down on the "softness" as Huth calls it or the "Cheating" as I think of it where players fall down with the smallest of touches, or no touch at all and those who over exaggerate a foul. If a player is hurt so badly that he needs to roll around on the floor or stay down for 1 or 2 minutes, he probably needs at least that long on the touch line to recover.

I think Claudio had it spot on this week when he pointed out the inconsistency with how Huth is fouled when he's attacking and the decisions he doesn't get.

Albrighton can't cross a football, there I said it.

I have now lost count of the amount of times he cuts back (so obvious now) and then smashes a ball at the nearest defender.

Albrighton plays because he offers a great defensive cover, not because of his quality ball crossing, not anymore anyway.

I'd agree. Since the first half of last season his attacking productivity has definitely reduced. I still think he's had some excellent matches, but not as a provider.

I honestly believe that defenders are the worst offenders for this, especially fullbacks. The amount of times they go down easily when trying to shepherd a ball out for a goal kick or throw in is embarrassing.

Albion only have one league win since the opening day. But they are the sort of team that will cause us problems at the moment. We're still a mess from set pieces and our physical presence isn't great. Albion only had one player under 6 foot in their last match - James McClean - and he's suspended today. Rondon always seems to cause us problems. Missing our regular keeper will also add to these issues so we need to avoid giving away set pieces.

Our two main attacking threats from last season are still AWOL in the league. Mahrez's last contribution in terms of league goal or assist was in April against Swansea. Vardy has gone two months without scoring since he was handed a goal on a plate at Anfield. How long do we have to wait for them to find some form? Today would be good lads!

And it's Craig Pawson as ref again today. His third time doing a game for us this season - we've lost the previous two.

Defending set pieces properly is absolutely key today.

Bit nervous about this one because I can sense a slip up. But we should win

The set piece situation is a potential issue today. I reckon if Slimani can't play then rather than Vardy I'd go for Ulloa as he can add to the height needed in defence at corners etc.

Vardy and Mahrez on the bench to bring on during the second half if needed

We had the right spirit and work rate and tactics against Spurs and Copenhagen, both away.

I expect Claudio will have them suitable fired up for this with a Plan B and Plan C that the lads will know about in advance so should be confident that they can take the Baggies apart.

Chadli is out who has been involved in most of their goals. We just need someone to keep Rondon quiet.

Unfortunately we cannot wipe the smile off Pulis's face, because he never has one!

One final stat before the game today.

The last team from outside London to win at the KP in any competition?

Stoke - January 2015!
