Life ban for not paying VAT on a Range Rover seems a tad excessive imo and I'm sure much worse things have been done by past and present football owners.

I'd imagine the ban will get overturned on appeal.

The hilarity of someone being banned from football for not paying VAT on a car when we have a corrupt bunch of old crooks running Uefa and FIFA.

If I was Cellino I would call a massive press conference and announce my plans to run for FIFA president just for a laugh.

I don't think he has got a chance of getting it overturned. It wasn't not paying Vat on the Land Rover, it was evading Vat on it, which is a bit different. Bearing in mind he has previous for doing this sort of thing, it would, in the UK, be a criminal offence.

I see what you're saying which is right but just seems ironic that football is so bent and someone gets banned for what will be something like £20k at the absolute most.

That's why I think he should be banned for life. This isn't a first offence, or even second as far as I'm aware. He's not learning.
