but wouldnt you say Michael Gray was a better prospect at left back than Nils?

I see your point regarding Thompson but signing Cole wouldnt really have been out of our depth -
i) MM's links with pompey
ii) better chance of playing regularly here as given competition at brum - mcsheffrey, campbell, larsson, etc etc

Brum going up, possibly, play offs at least - exciting place to go

Us going down, possibly, playing utter drivel shite as we go - dead end bollox place to go

Tough choice for Mr Cole, there.....

Cole is on a lot of money.... Fact.

It is costing us the entire gate receipts, both home and away sections, from the three matches against Cardiff, Derby and Leeds to pay for the loan of striker Andy Cole from Portsmouth for the rest of the season.

So we lost out on Todorov, Forsell (I guess we would have had one or the other), Lee Cook and Neil Danns.

They would have been good additions IMO. (Birmingham Evening Post had article about Forsell & Danns)

Would of been two excellent additions, Forsell providing he was fit anyway and Danns is just the type of midfielder that we need! Could be two potential players that we could get in the summer, especially if Birmingham go up and I would be very happy to see those two arrive at the Walkers Stadium during the summer!

Blues, with Andy Cole on board, were happy to let Forssell go because he needs competitive games after a knee injury.

He either turned us down or we ****ed the deal up. I know what I think.

Chairman Gianni Paladini claims the Foxes chief executive Tim Davies made a loan offer for Premiership target Lee Cook after Saturday's game between the two clubs

"I thought the man must have banged his head or something," said Paladini.

So, something between £3-500,000 for 8 matches. It'd have been pretty stupid for us to fork out that money, since we aren't going anywhere this season.

He's not Forsale though it seems
