not on current performances he's not, not by a long shot.

He's hardly had any, you can't expect the bloke to come straight back from a long injury and be top class straight away.

In the grand scale of things Kisnorbo is a better player imo.

maybe, but at the moment, we put kisnorbo in, we concede goals, ergo Hobbs is the better defender for the team.

Plus Kisnorbo's distribution is woeful, and was last season aswell.

is it though?? look how many goals we shipped when kis was back in the team surely it cant have been a coincidence :102:

Wasn't fit though was he,rushed back far too quickly.Worst thing was there was no reason to rush him back.Maybe MM wanted him out there in order to put him in the shop window for January, whatever it didn't work.

I think he is too I like the way Kisnorbo who was last season probably our best player is now loooked upon by many as a heap of shite after playing a handful of games this season when he clearly wasn't fit.But I guess thats par for the course with a lot of LCFC fans.Hobbs is moderae and I believe that Scunny could have bought him last season if they wanted him but either them being relegated or then just not wanting him meant it didn't happen.
He will never get in the Liverpool side and look how shite they are ?

I don't think it's a case of Kisnorbo being shit at all, but on the performances he had this season, whether he was fit or not, Hobbs is a better choice at the moment (although I personally would prefer Morrison).

I think whoever plays it is always best to try and keep a settled back 4.It showed when we start changing our back 4,we then shipped goals. There was no need IMO for Kisnorbo to be brought back to a defence that was forging an understanding:102:

I agree, I can only assume Kisnorbo was rushed back into the team with the intention of proving his fitness for potential buyers in the January transfer window and the opportunity to maximise his diminishing transfer value.

IMO his injury will now scupper any hope of us recieving even the smallest of fees and that the best and most likely scenario will be a Championship club taking over his contract for the remainder of the season in a bid for him to prove his fitness and be rewarded with a longer term deal in the summer if successful.

I agree

Would you not favour getting the contract foxes player in over the loanee (assuming he's good enough) as the loanee isn't ours so could disappear at anytime. If fit i would want kisnorbo and Tunch forming a partnership that could be around for a while.

Apart from the fact he is out of contract in the summer and will probably leave when Hobbs does!!!

Maybe not. Kisnorbo is a good Championship defender but no more. City may be his best option in summer as we will be back at his level.

I hope not, and this isn't just a " this season " thing, his distribution is awful and I've been saying this for some time. A defender who is useless a passing the ball accurately is a liability. Best for all concerned for him to go to pastures anew in the summer IMO.

:038: Totally agree, he was a good player in what was a very poor side, IMO we have moved on even though we are in a division lower and I expect if we were to be promoted then even better players would be bought in. He clearly no longer fits in with our style of play.

I can't see why people think Hobbs is a solution.Did henot play in the Scunny defence who were relegated last season

I don't believe that Hobbs is the solution, but both he and Morrison have proved more than capable as partners to Tunchev and as a unit have perormed very well. If promoted I am almost certain that additional players will be bought in with the added quality required for the Championship.

I think Kisnorbo has had his time here, he was one of the better players out of a very poor bunch and IMO if he did move on he would go to at best a mid table championship side. Like McAuley he benefitted from being surrounded by dross and therefore stood out, I don't think he is anything better than an average but very limited championship defender.

Of course I would, hence why I said I would prefer Morrison over Hobbs

For a lot of last year Kisnorbo and Macauley formed one of the best defensive partnerships in the championship. The stats proved this on goals conceded. How can they both now be regarded as average. Kisnorbo on form is a very good defender at that level. He may not be very cultured with a pass but most partnerships have one hoofer amongst them.
