It's odd. They already had seven first team central midfielders before getting him. He'd have been much better off with a Championship side.

Layton NDukwu will be getting finishing coaching from Andy Cole who’s joined Southend as part of Sol Campbell’s coaching team

Good for him, although judging by how little he's been used in that team I can only guess it won't have too much impact on us.

Remember when we signed Ghezzal? Mental.
We've signed a lot worse players than Ghezzal.
When moved to a more central role, he had promise, however, he's well down the pecking order for that role.
When coming on as a sub, he at least tried, which is more than can be said of other players.

question his development, question his ability but you cannot say Gray didn't care

I absolutely can.

His attitude was pathetic for quite a while. He'd come on and swan around like he owned a place on the pitch.

Gray would be a much better player by now had he applied himself over those years.

considering most of that time you lot would be moaning about him trying to do it all alone you can't also say he didn't care, Nacho is the closest I have seen to a player in recent years that doesn't care and I wouldn't even him label him as such

Even his international manager outted Nachoman for his shit attitude.

Doesn't care / shit workrate / poor attitude

Matters not which one, the outcome on the pitch is the same.
