Eppiah scored the consolation goal for OHL in yesterday's's friendly. He certainly seems very strong. I think I glimpsed a lesser spotted Benkovic getting an outing too. He looked liked he'd won a competition, one that he'd not entered.

I don't understand what has gone so wrong with Benkovic?

He looked okay when he played the odd cup game for us - I certainly don't remember him being awful. And I know it's a pub league but he did well in his year on loan at Celtic. So what's happened since? Is the SPL really that far below the standard of the Championship and the Belgian league?

I seem to remember most of us thinking he'd be ahead of Soyuncu in the pecking order when Maguire left! And he possibly was - I think Soyuncu started that season but Benkovic was injured at the time.

home grown can cover both CB and CM wouldn't be the worst thing if he was here as back up next season (Wes' spot will be up for grabs you'd assume and would save a transfer fee) seems to be playing well in the championship in general, over shadowed by Dewsbury-Hall however

My mate is a Wycombe fan and raves about Josh Knight, says he's been great for them this season but doubts they have any chance of signing him permanently even if they stay up.
