I'd just like to say this about Elvis Hammond.

I think he is a good player, if you look at him for what he is. Don't expect him to get you 20 a season, he wont. Don't expect him to score every chance he gets, he wont.

We seem to say this about most of our strikers these days. Why should we accept that they are paid a fortune to play as part of a front two and yet miss sitters and get called offside?

And it's not just Elvis. Hume, Fryatt just the same.

Johnson wasn't picking up his man and some people voted him man of the match yet he was at fault for their goal!

I just think RK and the whole set up is a total embarrassment now.

PK posted much earlier in this thread that apart from the MON years that things have generally been pretty dire. But this is far from the case and it would be tedious and boring again to go through all the examples of much better eras.

The problem is that the Elmsom/ Taylor crazy spending ripped the heart out of the club and also we have been badly managed at all levels now for some years and this has taken its toll.

From his comments it's clear that RK hasn't got a clue and also that his standards and expectations of what is acceptable are very low.

Hopefully the 3 loan signings indicate that MM is directing things because whilst Kelly is so -called manager there is no point in making any long term moves in the transfer market.

I appreciate that there is a danger of demonising Kelly - and that's not fair because he is not ultimately to blame. But i never thought that even if MM had taken over by now that he would back Kelly with any real money.

Basically, there is nothing whatsoever in kelly's record to indicate that he can either pick or motivate players.
