The away club gets 5% on the tickets it sells. This just about covers the expense of selling them.

The Premier League had a rule that the first 5% of tickets were on a sale-or-return basis and for the next 5% the home club could insist (if they wished) that all should be paid for. I'm not aware of any similar rule in the Football League and I understand that the additional tickets for the Coventry game are sale-or-return.
