Looking forward to this game, a good cup run could do us good and maybe we could be rewarded with a nice trip to Old Trafford !!

As for the game I will go for 2-0 to Leicester and I would proberly mix the team up a bit.

I would go for -

Weale

Powell Tunchev Hobbs Neilson

Gradel Adams Oakley N'Guessan

Waghorn (if available) Howard

Subs -
Logan
Dyer
Fryatt
Berner
Wellens
Chambers
O'Neill

If Waggy is unavailable I would give N'Guessan a go up front, and start Dyer on the left with Gradel on the right.

Logan
ONeill
Morrison

Must rest key players Wellens and Howard id also rest Weale Brown Berner and Oakley
Proves were still a bit short in centre mid (with Verma out on loan)
Still good enough for 2-0 win (Fryatt Waggy)

I do find it amazing that Tunchev is not deemed fit enough to feature at all on Saturday but is selected for his national squad. Maybe another on the way out...

It's a far more demanding level of football at Championship level than at International level.

Yup - just looked up the Scottish system. They still get points for bookings - he got 18 this season, which equals a 1 game ban. However, as he also got 18 points the previous season, he has another game to serve.

These bans apply only to League games in Scotland, so that is why he is banned from two league games here.

Now, the Mercury says this:

City have also confirmed that the second match of full-back Robbie Neilson's two-game ban takes in tomorrow night's Cup-tie, rather than the Championship game at Ipswich on Saturday.

So Neilson WILL miss the Cup game and will be available on Saturday.

Sorry don't agree with that, I admit it is a different kind of game but the quality of opposition would dictate that most internationals would be more demanding than club football. What I find remarkable is a player that is still coming back from injury, a supposed key player and a player who was evaluated as not yet ready to return even from the bench should then be released to play an international.

I would have thought a half or 60 minutes at Macclesfield would have been more beneficial to the players rehabilitation.

Given how all the England players are cracking on about this Dutch friendly being a pre-season game. I suppose Pearson feels giving him minutes in a no-risk game is worthwhile.

Plus he probably won't start anyway

It's make-your-mind-up time!

The squad lacks in depth, if we get injuries we will be stretched to the limit
