MAHREZ STAYS!!!!
Demerai must be a bit gutted that Ryiad is staying after all.
Has Riyad robbed your house or something? Why would we drop our best player just because he's acted respectfully in a transfer window where he's been honest about wanting to achieve more?I'd make a point of dropping Riyad now for all the plaudits over his attitude in the first 3 games if he'd done that last season he would likely have got the move he so desired (assuming no Spanish side buys him today)
Agree and he has done nothing wrong in my book bar employ a dickhead for his agent.I personally hope the club take no action against Mahrez. Rather try to appreciate the way he could be feeling at the moment; disappointed and perhaps just a little embarrassed.
Mahrez strikes me as a laid back kinda guy, perhaps thick skinned, but I feel any kind of punishment would add insult to injury (from his perspective) and risks him turning sour. We need the magician on the pitch, not a sour faced benchwarmer.

I personally wouldn't assume that Mahrez is particularly clued up. He may well be a very easy going, likeable bloke but somewhat dosey and gullible. I mean, he apparently believed we'd release him from the contract he signed last year, did he not?
And in at least one case has been successful. He also naively thought that fannying around like a show pony last season will have clubs queuing up for his signature.
Perfectly summed up BN.I liked the way that the club commented that they were bemused by Mahrez's actions over the last day or so. That's exactly how I feel too.
I'm absolutely delighted he's still here. If he'd got his move as somebody's lucky late punt, it wouldn't have been right. I sincerely hope that everyone at the club now gets behind him and encourages him to show those clubs that weren't convinced just how good he really is.
I think that he's massively underrated across the football world and it's now up to him to prove this. I believe that he will if he's properly managed. He's been outstanding so far this season and our only creative threat. We'd all be mad not to recognise this and back him. He's the first name on the team sheet for me.
