Mahrez

Provided we drop our asking price. I find it astounding with all these inflated fees floating around that clubs have the cheek to try and pinch someone with a rare and magic talent like Mahrez for pittance. Piss off Spurs...

£50m is more than fair in today's market.

He's only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Clearly no other club is viewing him with blue tinted glasses.

So is there is there another footballer out there with the 'magic' of Mahrez available under £50million?

Maybe other clubs just think that we are being greedy because the Mahrez sale is virtually all profit.

It is not like we paid £30million for him, developed him for 3 years and now looking to get an extra £20million from the sale.

Daft as it might sound, I think this is because we've not really made a massively high value sale as yet.

Kante was 35m but he's a genuine world beater and probably the best in the world right now at what he does. So he was still cheap.

We as a club have not really ever received a fee that has felt hugely inflated. (At least in my 10 years)

Contrast this with (for example) Newcastle and Andy Carroll. They've shown they had the balls to hold on for a silly sum and they got it.

We need to develop this reputation.

We've always been soft as shite in transfer business. From Lineker to Heskey, we've been fleeced because the player wants out and we capitulate.

The club are often complicit with this too. For example, in the case of Heskey, they freely peddled that the deal was worth £11m when it was nowhere near (less than £9m).

Profit doesn't come into it at all. He's worth what someone will pay for him, that we'll accept.

If you were buying a house would you think the seller is taking the piss for asking the market price even though it cost them only £10,000 40 years ago?

And we don't have to sell him.

Yea but we had Big Sam's pants down last season.

He is, was, and ever will be a great, but I'm bored of this. We should say acceptable offers by July 31st or you can bid this time next year. We really don't have to sell and really shouldn't if the right offer does not follow. I am past caring if someone sulks. No one. No one. Not f******* anyone (who kicks a ball professionally) is bigger than Leicester.

I think Knockeart once made a similar comment about us being a 'stepping stone', and he was shipped out not long after.

I would have him back again though!

Bit of a disrespectful comment post on Riyad's facebook after the game today. Clearly seems to have a bit of an attitude.

Maybe you could tell us what it actually was?

Just a series of tired 'zzzzzz' emotes. Could always be jet lag related, but doubtful....
