Why have I never seen an Australian working in a pub outside Australia?Like all other bars, Irish pubs worldwide have to be staffed by Aussies. Them's the rules.

So it's a pattern specific to a very small area of the country that relatively few people regularly go to?Most pubs in central London have staff from Australia, New Zealand or South Africa, from the sounds of things. Try the pubs around Oxford St.
To me, being surrounded by drunk middle-class Londoners sounds like the considerably lesser of two evils. Can't help feeling they have the rum end of the deal; our young 'uns go backpacking and work in beach bars in somewhere warm for a year, whilst they end up serving miserable tourists in London!

Oh I see. Still sounds preferable to pissed-up beach rats in Kingscliff.Au contraire, mon ami. drunk, middle-class Londoners don't drink around Oxford St. Like I say, it's tourists.
Where did I say that?why is it you assume that everyone who goes to the pub gets drunk every time?
Where did I say that?
I think it's fair to say that people generally get drunk in places where alcoholic beverages are available. However, I've been to hundreds of pubs and have never been drunk in a single one.Read back through your posts whenever the pub is mentioned :icon_lol:

I'm aware of this. They do seem to be in the minority however. Not everyone gets drunk, some can control themselves :icon_lol:
Have a house point.I have been drunk many times and have never got into trouble with the police, fellow supporters or anything. Ever.
