The gossip continues as to who will be the next LCFC manager.

1. Glenn Hoddle was in the Directors box yesterday. Was he a guest of Clive Woodward or will be be put in place here until the end of the season.

2. Lou Macari has stated he would love the job and would do it for next to nothing until the end of the season. With a clause that if we stay up he would then get a proper contract.

3. My original fancy of either Steve Cotterell or Gary Macallister still stands. Having spoken to RN Fox who gets to know quite a bit, he has had his money down on Cotterell at 10/1 with a saver on Macallister at 5/1. Current odds are Cotterell 5/1 & Macallister 2/1. He reckons LCFC have already asked for permission to speak to Cotterell - he could well be right.

Kevin Keegan has also been mentioned but wages would be an issue.

IMO Gary Mac would be a huge gamble. Wouldn't mind him here with Eric Black though.

Sounds good.

If we had beaten Southampton yesterday then the current incumbents would have kept the job for a little longer, but it's now a massive gamble to continue with the current team. Nothing seemed to have changed from the CL reign even though it's his first game in charge.

IMO the board will now make a swift move in an attempt to stop the rot. Hoddle may be a consideration as his teams are hard to beat but they do draw a lot - remember Wolves.

My guess is that the reason Glenn Hoddle was there is because we are playing Wolves soon. Just a guess though

If we were to get Hoddle then surely we would need to pay compensation?

Sorry mate but your speculation about Glen Hoddle is utter bollocks. Where do you get this shite from sometimes!:icon_eek:

That may well be the reason.

There seems to be a big push at the club to approach Steve Cotterell though.
Positives are, he knows the set-up here, the board really respect his knowledge of the game, he has achieved quick results whenever he has joined a new club and he said wehn he left " i'll be back one day" as manager.

Negatives are he could cost the club compensation and he may bring Ade Akinbiyi back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't mean that in a harsh personal attacking way. It just seems so far fetched. Why would he leave wolves who are in a good position and who have a bit of cash, to come here where we have no money and are strong relegation candidates.

I was under the impression that even though he may be interested in the job his priority was looking after his sick wife so he wouldnt be interested.

Whoever we decide to bring in it will be a huge gamble. The next manager will not have any luxuries such as transfer funds or alot of time to get it right. I don't envy whoever takes on the challenge.

I doubt it he's just gone to Sheffield United for £1.75m!!!

Cotterill would be a good safe choice..I'd prefer Newell or Parkinson myself...

I heard she was in full remission from cancer. I.e. on the road to recovery.:102:

Never mind that, the transfer window will be closed anyway. They couldn't bring in anyone even if they wanted to!:icon_sad:

Unless loans are still available?!?!? Anyone know what the rules on this are?

I've been told that she passed away, but at the same time she was recovering well. Which one is correct?!
