Sorry mate but your speculation about Glen Hoddle is utter bollocks. Where do you get this shite from sometimes!:icon_eek:

He has a habit of taking already published information and twisting it to be his own little bit of "inside info'.

RNFox says he does know some stuff, but it's yet to be proved on here.

i think leicester are gonna get Steve Cotterill by the end of the week..and good things come to those who wait...ie leicester...we been waiting too long for good things :D

Right I'm going to chip because I have some work to get on with (deadlines and all) but when I return we best have a manager...otherwise I am going to give Steven a kicking.*

*sorry Steven, you just live closest to me...assuming you are in guildford?

No. :icon_razz ;) Only work there.

My view of the world :

Glenn Hoddle - No fecking chance, we play Wolves next saturday that is why he was in the directors box.

Lou Macari - I would be surprised if the board were after him, it is like the rest of the managers who are throwing their hat into the ring, they may want us does not mean we want them.

Steve Cotterill - IMO he will be the man, knows the club, knows the league, well respected, has done a fantastic job at a club with very limited resources and is now very unsettled and would no doubt jump at the opportunity.

Gary Mac - It has been confirmed that, thank God, his wife is now in remission, however he does not wish to be considered for the post.

For me Cotterill will be the next manager, that is not with any inside info, except MB's admission that he would put 50p on it, but with living in the North West, all the noises being made from Burnley fans and Cotterill is their fustration at the boards lack of ambition, in an interview last week Cotterill was feckin well miffed, and the fans were phoning in anticipating him to move on.

Who is Lou Macari?

Papers mention Mike Newell, Coterill and Penney today. Be pretty happy with any of them, but I would hope Cotterill doesn't play so negatively here. It would probably keep us up this year, but not sure we'd progress much with it in future.

Ex-Scotland international, managed lots of lower clubs, Swindon and Huddersfield are 2 that I can remember.

The gossip continues as to who will be the next LCFC manager.

You mean you've made some stuff up?

1. Glenn Hoddle was in the Directors box yesterday. Was he a guest of Clive Woodward or will be be put in place here until the end of the season.

Obviously he was watching us because we're playing Wolves next week :icon_roll

2. Lou Macari has stated he would love the job and would do it for next to nothing until the end of the season. With a clause that if we stay up he would then get a proper contract.

And?

Do you think we'd employ someone just because they're cheap?

I'd do it for nothing until the end of the season but that doesn't mean I think I should get the job!

3. My original fancy of either Steve Cotterell or Gary Macallister still stands. Having spoken to RN Fox who gets to know quite a bit, he has had his money down on Cotterell at 10/1 with a saver on Macallister at 5/1. Current odds are Cotterell 5/1 & Macallister 2/1. He reckons LCFC have already asked for permission to speak to Cotterell - he could well be right.

Maybe those suggestions are right, but why should we take someone seriously when they can't even spell Cotterill and McAllister?

I don't know if Cotterill is the man I would like to be honest. Don't get me wrong we could obviously do worse but if we are going to get someone from another club I reckon there are better managers we have a chance of pinching. I just have this nasty feeling if Cotterill comes here we are going to be seeing alot of 4-5-1 hoofball shit.. it works for him at Burnley but even if he keeps us up with it I can't see him making us a successful club.. =/

I'm not sure who my personal choice would be, I guess at the moment I sway more towards Martin Allen if there was a chance of getting him..

I for one am not bothered how the football looks, as long as we get fecking points. Whats the point in all the fancy danny stuff and then get beaten? No feck it lets have all boring 1-0 wins.....

Cotterill is negative at Burnley because he doesnt have the resources available so he has to cut his cloth accordingly, hence why he adopts those tactics, also those tactics have got the best out of a squad hardly packed with household names, Burnley are punching well above their weight, but if he came to Leicester who is to say he would adopt those similar tactics with our squad.

Also Cotterill has a proven track record in our division, which surely makes him a better proposition than the likes of Penney, Allen or Parkinson who have as yet never managed at this level. They could be as big a risk as appointing Levein. Cotterill is a good manager, with a decent eye for a bargain and he knows what it takes to win football matches at this level, also from the sounds of what is coming out, he wants to manage us, all in all a pretty good reference in my IMO.

In the paper today, that City are to approach Burnley this week as he has just rejected a new 4 year deal there in the wake of flogging that useless lump Ade Akinbadbuy. The signs look good.......:038:

I hope so, I have been really impressed by him, especially with living in the North West, I get to hear a lot of phone Ins and interviews and on the whole he gets positive feedback, would be an excellent appointment by our board, he is a very good coach as well as a manager and invariably gets the best out of his players. :038: :038: :038:
