God! You know your getting old when a person on this topic earlier said "Who is Lou Macari?" In his playing days was one of the better players to have pulled on a Man United shirt! God I'm old!:icon_cry:

I remember when we played Stoke on Central Match Live at the Victoria ground and it was either Lou Macari's first game or Joe Jordan's first game, just after Stein had gone to Chelsea and it was utter crap, 1-0 to Stoke, rubbish.

HAHA! Central Sports Specials, quality stuff.

Also remember when we had West Brom away and were 3 nil up after 30 mins or something - Iwan scored from about 30 yards. :081: :081:

I don't remember any of that! More like drawing with Birmingham in the old 1st division to be honest.

Central Match Live every Sunday afternoon was brilliant. There were a few great games I'll never forget watching, City vs Norwich when we saw the first of Heskey who had a great game. City 1-0 Forest at Filbo with Speedie bagging the winner, and the legendary Port Vale vs QPR match. Port Vale were 4-0 up after 60 minutes before QPR scored 4 late goals, brilliant match.

There was also the joys of Jimmy Greaves. :icon_roll

I remember the 4-4 Vale match, Guppy and Co saved the day if I remember correctly.

Also, Mike Hunt, what about the Legendary Watford vs LCFC when Izzet scored in the last minute to take us to play-off heaven and then the promised land!!!!

GREAT STUFF!!!

I used to love watching CSS matches on a Sunday, I gew up listening to Alan Parry commentate on those games.

I remember Derby vs Leicester when we beat them 1-0, Joachim scored our goal.

I was there, if it was the one at the baseball ground? We were down to ten men in the first half, and did not expect too much. Then up popped crown jules and he smashed in the winner :098:

I remember city vs millwall when loads of players were sent-off, inlcuding i think it was joachim when he ran down the tunnel only to come back 5 mins later when he realised the red card has shown to some on else. Sundays will never be the same...

I was at that match - won tickets from the Leicester Trader.

It was Neil Lewis who thought he'd been sent off, when Oldfield had been shown the red card for pushing Alex Rae in an off the ball incident (after Rae had punched him in the face but got away with it). Lewis thought it was him because he'd just committed a foul when the Oldfield thing happened.
