Why have Sky got a token woman on the panel for this game? The gender of the presenter is irrelevant, but what exactly does a former/current woman's footballer know about anything to do with the Premier League? She is there as a supposed expert.

Why not have someone from the Leicester Wildecats (our LBGT football team) and someone from the Association of Muslim Footballers. Oh, and someone from the Disability Supporters Association.

What's the difference?

She’s no less an expert than those she was sitting alongside. Why does she need to have played in the Premier League (or have played at all) to be considered an expert in it? Despite all the shite Sky try shoving down our throats there really is nothing unique about it.

There are examples of former professionals who are very good as pundits. But there are far more who are awful. It would be good if they opened the whole thing up. If it was less of an old boys’ club I wouldn’t have to endure Jamie Redknapp and Thierry Henry every Sunday afternoon.

Some of the more intelligent journalists in place of the ex-pros would be a start.

Just played Puel 'interview bingo' and didn't quite make the full house. Only four out of five.
  • fantastic (when winning) difficult (when losing)
  • intensity
  • consistency
  • possibility
  • training session

On the subject of pundits. Redknapp saying nothing could be done about their second....I'm pretty sure Maguire could have tried a bit more for a start.

I know right?

I hear they’re even allowed to vote now. Ridiculous.

Give the guy a break BN, English is not his first language and so he has a limited vocabulary.

I'd be happy if he just spoke up a bit!

Redknapp has over 300 Premier League appearances. Given has over 400. They may or may not spout shite but they are on the panel because they've been there, done it. Steph Houghton plays for Man City ladies team. By all means ask for her expertise on women's football, but she knows feck all about the Premier League and that's what she's being asked about.

It's tokenism. She isn't there on merit. And my point remains, why not have a token gay, muslim or disabled footballer on there instead / as well? What's the difference?

They'll have black people on next, the complete bastards

Political correctness gone mad....

So you would also object to Lionel Messi being on the panel?

BN, the 1960’s called. It wants its post back.

Sounds like a joke. A Bernard Manning one perhaps.

I refuse to believe that you can both be that dense. My point is about mis-placed diversity and tokenism. If they'd put a member of the Man City disabled team on the panel, would that have been relevant too?

I also think the decision to give Phil Neville the England job a disgrace. There are plenty of better qualified women that should have got the job ahead of him.
