Without meaning to send this thread off topic, would Marvin Gaye be useful in debating the new VAR system?

So let me get this right. The inclusion of Steph Houghton, who has played at the highest level available to her for several years and has over 90 England caps and a cupboard full of medals, knows the game inside out and upside down, and even at 29 has doubtless forgotten more than most here have ever known about the actual mechanics of the game, is tokenism? Am I reading this correctly?

No.

I'm more surprised to read that Redknapp had over 300 prem appearances tbh. I'm assuming they were all in the 2 seasons when he wasn't injured for all of it. Next we'll hear Darren Anderton managed double figures for appearances.

Maybe they got the figures from his old man? Hopefully they double checked.

This thread has made me feel much better after that shitefest. Thanks guys and gals (though a slightly smaller thanks to the gals).

There aren't any gals left here are there? Not seen one in ages. Would explain why I've not had a cup of tea in 8 months.

Anything is better than talking about that game I suppose.

I have to say though that I have a terrible sinking feeling after our recent performances and events. I suppose it's natural after a big defeat, but I do feel the next few weeks are going to be make or break for Puel.

Have a look at our remaining fixtures, if that doesn't earn a decent return then Puel needs a slap.

They're all to busy playing football and talking shit with Wrinkly Awld Bollock Chops Jnr

I miss the old days.

I went to the women's international at Filbert St (1981 I think???) England v Sweden.

The Swedish team were lean, athletic goddesses by & large.

England looked like they'd been recruited from Holloway on day release.

Neither of them could play anything resembling football & the goalkeepers were unbelievably bad. Safe to say things have moved on greatly but the comedy value has been lost which is always a shame. Life doesn't have enough laughs in it on the whole.

Thank you Stephanie for livening up what threatened to be a miserable thread.

Surely the half time panel are there to fill the screen while viewers are busy talking to friends, peeing away one pint, getting another and joining the scrum for a free hot dog.

Taking into account that I could not hear a word that was said I prefer Stephanie as a pundit to Robbie Savage and Danny Murphy
